As described, this is a resin cast sculpture molded to look like a stone lion, and it lives up to it's claims.I received the first, of two, with an issue that I brought straight to Tom at the company. He was very quick to apologize and he ensured me that they'd get another sent to me asap, which they did!These are very nice sculptures and will be a nice addition to the decor at my father's property. What a great buy! The picture does not accurately present the color, which is a nicely textured dark grey mottled with green, looking like weathered stone or concrete - and quite convincingly so. You really can't tell it's plastic until you touch it, and then the texture gives it away. The plastic is heavy-duty and should stand up well, but this still means the statue itself doesn't weigh all that much. I was originally worried that it might blow over, but this hasn't been a problem, though I live on hill that gets strong winds sometimes.Our lion is just a bit over knee-high - about the same height as the tallest bushes and flowers in the area, and is the perfect touch for the garden - a mix of bushes, flowers, and containers beside our front door. I'm not big on garden or lawn ornaments - this is the only one I have ever had - but I do love this one.

The price was less than QVC.They are at front door to greet guests. I monogrammed the shield and added copper paint.The base is 10”x12” they’re light weight and would be suitable on a mantle or table.The replacement of a broken lion was quick and easy.The company was professional with customers service. I am very pleased with my lion, I was a little concerned that it would be too small for the area I wanted to use it in but it was the perfect size and a great addition to my flower bed.

I just received my both statues! I was so confused while buying them bcz there was only 1 picture given in the review. But now after purchasing it i am literally in love with my guards! I would definitely suggest everyone to buy it. Its worth the price and such a lovely piece. I am very very happy with my purchase! I have added a picture with my review to give everyone a clear version of the real look. Though the color doesn't match with the picture. But still the statues r worth the buy!

It was a handsome garden decoration, but after one year it is now coming apart. It will have to be thrown away. This is a real shame and I am upset about it.

We love this Lion! I painted him 1 coat with a Krylon satin almond paint + primer then I gave him 2 coats of Krylon stone coarse texture white onyx and followed up with 1 coat of Krylon UV-Resistant clear acrylic. I plan on spraying him with the UV once a year. He should last forever! The accents are done in folkart treasure gold. I also mounted him to a block of paving stone which I also painted so he would stay put and be movable.

It's light enough to move around without assistance, but heavy enough to stay in place as a lawn ornament. It doesn't feel like the material would withstand harsh outdoor conditions, so we plan to keep it on the porch under cover. We created a customized family tribute with the shield and gave it to family as a Christmas present. They absolutely love it!
