These shoes fit my foot like a glove and, as such, they have absolutely no support. It's almost like being barefoot. They do not look substantial, and I expect they would not stand up to vigorous activity or hard use, but I bought them for Tai chi, and they will be perfect, as they do not grab the floor. I typically wear a 9.5 or 10, I bought a 10, and the length is perfect. These will not accomodate a wide foot.

The sole has textured rubber which keeps it from being slippery. The rubber does wear smooth in the spots you need for turning. The heel has a tiny bit of give to it for stomping in character dance which gives the heel a bit of cushion. The laces are good quality. The toe may be initially tight but the leather does stretch nicely and quickly as you break them in. The overall quality of these shoes is very consistent, we have purchased many pairs over the years. We would highly recommend them.

The quality of the shoe is just mediocre. It will be fine for me as I only need them for one hour a week. If I was younger and heavily into dance I would go for a shoes that’s better made. I tried to follow directions from last reviews and went with a substantially larger size as everyone said they ran extremely small. They run even smaller than that. I wear a size 8 and went up over a size and they’re still a tad tight. They are loosening up as I wear them but I’d go for a wider width next time.

The left shoe is perfect and comfortable (like Capezio used to be) but the sole on the right shoe was not glued down properly. There is a large, hard bump where the fabric is bunched up, under my right toes. This makes it hurt to dance in them and they give me blisters every time I try to dance in them.

It took a little bit to find the right size. I definitely recommend going to Capezio's site and using their size chart there since there isn't a detailed chart with measurements with this listing. That said, I usually wear a youth 2 in street shoes, and I've worn a 2 in jazz shoes before. I was pleasantly surprised to find an offering for feet my size, and in fact the 4.5 wide is perfect for me. My feet measure at around 8.25" long, and the little bit of extra room is nice. They just arrived so I haven't broken them in or performed in them yet, but they seem high quality (as is the expectation with Capezio). I like having the split sole and laces for a flexible fit. The box they came in did look a little roughed-up, but the shoes inside are brand new.

I’ve been looking for a simple shoe that fits tighter for dance class that’s not a heel. Everything has been too big or tight. These shoes fit just right. It has laces to tighten for adjustment.However, I am a true 7 1/2 and you need to go up half a size in these shoes, they run on the small side in my opinion. I bought an 8 wide.If you have a slightly wider foot, go with the wide for comfort.

Great shoes, well made and the fit was pretty good. A little snug but with a few wears they started to stretch out a little. I would say that they're true to size and would suggest ordering up if you're a half size.

Check sizes on the capezio website as you need a size much bigger than usual. Ordered a bigger size and they were excellent

Adult Split Sole Jazz Ballet Flat Black Shoe size 4.5 w........ That's what it said, that's what I expected but not what I received. Even though the description on the inside stated the wrong size also........ What I received was something so small my daughter couldn't wear it. Now I have to return it... was very pleased with the delivery that came before I expected, just disappointed about the description and feel miss-sold.
