Prevue Pet Products SPECONO1818H-SG Tall Tiel Cage, Sage Green

We got this for a rat for my college dorm, did not end up well, but it was because of the rat. The cage was really great tho. It’s a decent size and very sturdy. It was easy to put together, and the instructions were easy to understand. It’s worth the money to buy.

I really like this cage for my cockatiel! It’s bright and airy and was easy to assemble. I would NOT suggest it for any bird larger than a cockatiel as it isn’t made to house birds that are stronger that might have a tendency to chew or bend the bars as they aren’t to sturdy. But for smaller birds it works fine. I like that it’s not to wide or bulky. My bird seems to like the new set up too with multi level space. I’ve added additional perching areas and toys to keep her entertained while in the cage.

Excellent cage . Spacious for my 2 parakeets. They can actually fly from bottom to top . Added several seed cups and many toys . 2 bird baths . They are very happy. My Grandson put it together perfectly. Sturdy. Nice wooden perches . Removal tray makes an easy clean up!

overall it’s an OKAY cage. I bought it for my cockatiel, it’s definitely big enough for him. But pros and cons. CONS: as other reviews said the bars are very flimsy. When my tiel gets on his perches the wires bend which makes the perch lean. My other complaint is there there’s no door to the top of the cage. Most birds hang out at the top, so it makes it very difficult to get the bird even if they know the step up command. i have long arms and my arm has to get to a painful angle to get anywhere near my bird when he’s at the top. You are able to open the very top part of the cage to get your bird, but it’s unnecessarily annoying. i do wish there was more room to hang toys on the top, but you can always hang them on the perches and sides. PROS: it’s definitely big enough for not just one but two cockatiels, it’s quite spacious. for its price the size is great! the sides have horizontal bars which helps birds navigate easier and move around! personal pro, but since there’s only two water and food openings, i use less to zip ties since i use the metal ones and birds will choke themselves and pass away if they figure out how to open the food and water opening and get stuck in it. i like the flat top personally because i am able to put a foraging plate up there and a bath. it also was very easy to put together. tip: when putting together the bottom “square pieces” with any bird cage. make them flat against each other and thread the notches. you’ll know what i mean when you see it. makes it infinitely easier. overall my bird enjoys the cage but there’s some issues with it. for the price i’m happy with it. especially since i was looking for one without a stand. it’s what i expected with the price but also wish it would be better made.

I honestly can’t believe how good this cage is given the price! Easy to assemble and it seems sturdy. I love how roomy it is for our parakeet. I do wish there was a securing feature on the food doors, but I can easily add little clips.

Very sturdy and loved the color

This cage is very poorly made and the design is bad there's only 1 door and 2 feeder doors located at the bottom of the cage bad location because the birds poop will fall right into it and there's no easy access to place toys or a swing at the top of the cage because the only door is at the bottom and there is no instructions in how to attach the door latch on so I had to put a zip tie on it if I wasn't moving I'd return it the wooden purches were warped .the metal is very flimsy and it was bent in a few places thus cage is terrible and for 60 dollars I'd expected better don't waste your money like I did

Très belle grandeur de cage. Par contre, je trouve les barreaux un peu cheap dans le sens que ce n'est pas si solide que ça. En magasin, je n'aurais jamais payé 100$ pour cette cage.

I was very pleasantly surprised about this cage! I bought it for some rats I will be getting soon, as it is an appropriate size for 2 rats! You can fit a LOT in this cage. It’s very tall, and very sturdy. I was thoroughly Impressed! It wasn’t that hard to put together. The instructions weren’t very useful but it was fairly self explanatory. I will say that putting the top on the cage was pretty finicky and I actually had to use a zip tie because one of the closures was too small to lock on to the cage. It is also SUPER annoying that there isn’t doors on the upper half of the cage because it makes hanging things from the top very fiddley. Ultimately it is a pretty good cage and I’m lookibg forward to having some new pets in it!

I think it’s a great size for a single bird. Even two birds would probably feel safe and comfortable in this cage. I like the tray at the bottom which would make it easy for me to clean.

Wouldn’t buy this ever again. I’m returning it. It’s so hard to assemble and it doesn’t actually fit on itself. It’s shaky and cheaply thin.
