Razor E300S Seated Electric Scooter
This was a great buy for our 12 year old daughter. She was upgrading from the Razor E100 that she received for her tenth birthday. She got two great years from that but was getting heavier now (105 lbs) and needed a little more power. This scooter fits the bill. It was easy to assemble. I was concerned she wouldn't like the fact that it had a seat since her E100 didn't have one but she likes it just fine. With the way you have to assemble it, the seat could actually be removed quite easily and ridden that way but she hasn't felt the need to do that yet. We have had it about 4 months now and it is still going strong. The batteries on the Razor scooters we have owned (two E100s and now the E300S) have been great. The kids just make sure they are switched off when they are not in use and we bring them in and store them in the basement for our frigid Midwestern winters. Bottom line...we would highly recommend this for any child over 5 feet and 100 pounds. I have taken it for a couple of rides myself and it is quite fun.

Great fun!
Now that I've had the scooter for a couple of weeks, I feel it's a good time to write a review. I'm in college. I'm 5'3" and weigh 118 pounds. This scooter is the perfect size for me. In fact, like another reviewer who is my height said, my feet almost don't touch the ground when I'm sitting on the seat. So please keep that in mind if you are thinking of purchasing this scooter for a child. This scooter is powerful and fast. It easily makes it up average hills. It will not climb steep hills but you can help it along by kicking. The battery lasts a long time for me. I haven't kept time, but I can make it around town and back and still have charge left. It's easy to combine coasting and power to make the battery last longer. The handlebars don't adjust in height. It's a big scooter. It weighs 60 pounds. You will need to leave it outside when you reach your destination, so you'll need a good lock. It needs to charge for at least 12 hours when the battery is low. Unfortunately, there is no battery indicator. I love the color. It is pink with little flowers and super cute. I receive compliments about it all the time. I attached a removable wire basket to the seat post (it faces backwards). You may want to consider one, too, because it's handy when you need to carry books, groceries, etc. The scooter is great fun! It's good for the environment, too. I would totally recommend it to other college students. I use this for quick errands and then take the bus or carpool if I need to go somewhere farther. I would also recommend it to teenagers who can't drive yet because you don't need a license for this and the freedom you gain is priceless. Amazon shipped this quickly and I received it in less than a week. Great price, great company.

Great scooter. A few weaknesses though...
I waited until after I owned and used this scooter for a few months before reviewing. I bought an UberScoot 1000 Watt scooter at the same time so I could ride with my daughter. The Razor 300 is a great scooter. There was minimal assembly out of the box and after the initial charge, we were off and riding. The Razor is pretty much as fast as the Uber for my 9 yo, 80lb daughter. That was a surprise. As for use time on the battery, we went for an excursion in a local park with paved trails and rode for over two hours. Not continuously but close to it. That was also a surprise. When you factor in that you do a lot of coasting, the battery lasts pretty long. The 300S comes with a seat which does not need to be mounted and I would not recommend it, Kids will have so much more control and confidence standing. The throttle on the handlebar offers no steps in the amount of power when riding. It's either full power or nothing which is not what most people would expect, It would have been nice to have a little more control there. It is a pretty decent hill climber although it maxes out at about a 8% grade and stops. It won't go far or fast on grass.Brakes on both wheels would have been better instead of just the front but my daughter has mastered that shortcoming with a little bit of caution.

Cute Scooter!
The customer service is what really caught my eye. I bought two of these, as christmas presents for my grandchildren, and one of them malfunctioned. It worked at first, for a few days but then it just got worse and worse after just a couple of rides. It eventally wouldn't move at all so I called Razor, and they sent me another at no charge! My granddaughters were so excited, now they can both zip around through the neighborhood with ease. The scooters climb hills with some effort, and it usually travels pretty quickly. The brakes work really well, and can stop quickly and efficiently. My granddaughters are 12 and 16 and the scooters work wonderfully for them, well after I recieved the working one! The only downside to these scooters is that it takes at least 12 hours to charge them. I would even recommend charging them 24 hours to get them to really work. It is kind of hard just to pull these out and go to the park on a sunny day when they have to charge so long. Happy with the purchase!

INCREDIBLE FUN!
I bought 2 of these for my children aged 6 & 8. I was a little worried by the performance of these so of course I "geared" them up head to toe and was quite pleased how well they performed! They were very easy to control and the center point for going straight has a little tightness which helps track the scooter going straight. Within 15 minutes they were a pro on these. The larger tires definitely made navigating holes and cracks a dream. The battery says 45 minutes of run time but I guess due to their weight (50 & 65) they last for over 90 minutes! I am 6' and weight 250 and it had no problem scooting me around for a test! This little scooter is fantastic and HIGHLY recommended for pure thrills and enjoyment. A real nice feature is the ability to have the seat on or off.

Excellent Quality Product!
A few years ago we bought a smaller Razor Scooter these for our 3 grandchildren for Christmas and they had a blast on them. But the kids are bigger now (ages 9, 10, 13) so this year we bought them these E300S models and they are crazy happy with them because they go so much faster and they have the seat option (easy to remove and install). Even the adults were using them on Christmas, as they are strong and sturdy and can handle the weight. I think they are fairly priced for the years of fun our grandkids will have riding them!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
This product was ordered twice for my granddaughter's birthday. The first scooter arrived in a badly damaged box,,once opened, we discovered the wires were completely severed. Our electrician has not been able to overcome the significant damage and feels the battery was also badly damaged. Order number two made the first scooter look fabulous. This box was so damaged it was barely held together with the poor tape job someone had tried. The scooter itself was scratched, dented, scraped and the wheels were full of dirt. Amazon customer service was excellent to work with, however, the bottom line is two useless scooters and a disappointed little girl later, there is no scooter...it was the one thing she had asked for on her birthday "list".

Great at first - battery life too short
Purchased this for my daughter and we were excited to get it. At first everything was going great, we charged it for the full 8 hours like the manual said. We made sure that we followed instructions to the T to avoid issues. Then all of a sudden the battery quit charging and the scooter stopped working. Went on the site to troubleshoot and followed instructions provided by Razor. Nothing...Had to replace the battery at a cost of $60 plus shipping. Disappointed since we have not had the product for more than 6 months..

Lousy battery life
Scooter only runs for 1/2 an hour before the battery dies on it. I will not be making any further purchases at Amazon because I can"t return the scooter for a refund !!

Excellent for a children's scooter - not not for too young of a child...
I ordered this scooter for my daughter who is 9 years old. She is 60 pounds and about 4 and a half feet tall. When the package arrived I was worried as it was really, really taped up with packing tape - looking like it had been returned and taped up. Upon opening it though - I realize it was brand new - and the original box - the way it is made is no appropriate for shipping as it could open very easily - hence all of the extra packing tape to secure it shut. It took a good 10 minutes to assemble the scooter. All tools are (supposed to be) supplied - mine was missing the philips screwdriver. No worry. There is quite a large, explicit warning telling you that if you do not charge the battery for at least 12 hours, and inflate the tires you will void your warranty. So, charged over night. As a note - when I plugged the battery in to charge -it indicated 'green' - or fully charged within 2 minutes. Again - the packaging says explicitly, even if you plug the scooter in for the first charge and it shows as charged - you must continue the charge for 12 hours. Done. Inflated the tired. Time to ride! I rode the scooter first to be sure there were no issues. I'm 5'9", 150lbs. No problems at all - and I had a lot of fun actually. I rode it for about a mile, just to make sure it works well. The only issue I have - is that the throttle works - even if the scooter is standing still. so, if you are stopped, say off the scooter talking to a friend and accidentally twist the throttle the scooter will take off. It's just different than scooters I am used to where you must kick first to get some speed going for the throttle to work. The throttle seems to be all or nothing. It's like flooring the gas pedal in your car, or foot completely off the pedal. There is no cruising at a medium speed unless you unit, throttle off and coast... gun it.... coast... At full speed, it's a bit twitchy - and this is due to the lightness of the from of the scooter and the narrow handle bars. My daughter could not sit on the seat and touch the ground so we had to remove it until she is comfortable operating it as a kick scooter. She had a blast, although she said she was surprised at how fast it went. If you've used brakes on a mountain bike or similar, you will have no issues with these brakes. I'll be connecting a Garmin 500 to the scooter to keep track of what kind of usage I get out of a full charge, and will update this review in the future once I have some data. I mean, what kind of usage my daughter :) gets out of a full charge.
