Amazon Brand – Stone & Beam Blaine Modern Ottoman, 36.2"W, Navy Blue

Well, I have not one but two recliners but I also have not 1 but 3 cats and I refuse to put any of my fur children in danger my making myself comfortable and reclining either of the recliners so I had been either just draping a leg over an arm or pushing a recliner close to another piece of furniture so I could put my feet up. I'd been wanting an ottoman for a while but didn't have the space for one. A year ago I moved into a new, much larger place and so now I have room for an ottoman. The search was on.I wasn't too picky, I just wanted one tall enough, large enough, and soft enough to comfortably stretch my legs and feet out on while sitting in my double recliner. I'm 5'11 by the way. I also did not want anything that would easily snag. Lastly I was hoping to find one no more and preferably less than 100 dollars. I was hoping for gray or brown and it just so happened the gray color was on sale. This does look to be light gray in person, if color is important to you. Anywho, you would think that it would be pretty easy to find what I want right? It's just an ottoman, not an entire chair.Well it turns out ottomans are more expensive than I would have thought. All the cheap and by cheap, I mean less than 100 dollar ottomans are small, more like foot stools. That or those storage boxes that double as benches or ottomans or end of bed chests. Those were not what I wanted. What I wanted was exactly what I found when I came across this ottoman. It fits my needs perfectly and I got it while it was on sale which at the time was 67.99 or so. I absolutely LOVE this ottoman!! It's quite large, it is as wide as the seat of my double recliner and even completely pushed up against the cushion of the recliner, I am still able to fully stretch my legs out on it and my feet do not hang off. The material is a nice soft cottony, almost like a cross between kaki and thin jean material. It is also sturdy but has a softness to it as well which is perfect for resting my heels on. The height is also inline with the height of my recliner so my legs go straight out, they do not slope up or down, which I absolutely love. It arrives in a large box with the 4 wooden legs stored inside the ottoman. If you flip the ottoman over, there is a black zipper. Open the zipper and the 4 legs are wrapped together inside. Pull them out, zip upnthe zipper then screw the legs onto the bottom of the ottoman. Flip it over and you are ready to go. It is fairly light weight so it's easy for me to lift but it has felt pads on the legs so you can also slide it across the floor if it's too heavy to lift.All in all, I can not be more satisfied with this ottoman. The quality is great, the size is wonderful and it feels good to rest my achey legs and feet on. At the time I purchased it it was less than 70 dollars but I see now it has gone back to it's full price of over 100. Ultimately, while I do love it, I would not have purchased it for the full price of 121.00 to 130 or so. If it goes back on sale and you can get it for 80.00 or less, absolutely get it if you can!

I really like the color (deeper gray). It is very strong and a firm support. Extremely easy and virtually effortless to assemble. The upholstery is smooth wipes off fairly easily. My only complaint is the back cushions are not able to be reversed bc they are one-sided. If you want soft, smushy cushions and feel, this isn’t for you. It’s firm, and when my son visits from college, he says it is comfortable to sleep on and he’s 6’3”.

Well-made, solid construction. Comfortable and so easy to unbox and put the legs on. Sofa is perfect for the price. And, Amazon delivered quickly, unlike the 5-month estimate from a local furniture store.The cushions are not reversible, but all cushions are loose (not attached). The chaise can be placed at either end.Fabric is super soft and sturdy. Style can fit traditional or modern decor. Great dark denim blue color with thick, comfortable foam.I typically buy upholstered furniture that will last 15 or more years. Have not purchased anything this large from Amazon until now. Fingers crossed for this!

I first bought the ottoman, and I absolutely loved it. The upholstery is very high quality, the cushion is comfortable, and the build feels like it will last a good long while. When the price dropped on the chair, I decided to go ahead and get it so I would have a matching set. I didn't actually need a new chair, but I have not had a matching set in quite a while.I have mixed feelings on this Blaine chair, so I waited 2 weeks to write the review. Honestly, I still haven't decided for certain that it isn't going back because it just isn't comfortable to me.1. The seat cushion is firm, which is fine as I prefer firm over a squishy seat that sinks down. But this is extraordinarily firm and it is way too deep. I've got a large pillow behind the back cushion, but when I try to relax against it, I have to slump more than I want.2. For the first few days, I couldn't sit in it more than about 10 minutes because it had a strong odor. The best way I can think of the describe the smell is that it was like the sickly sweet aroma of incense I remember smelling when walking past a "head shop" at the mall in the 1970s when I was a teenager. (Funny how some smells stick with you for so long!)3. I knew before I bought it, but I don't like that the seat cushion is permanently attached. I've had furniture with an attached BACK cushion, but never a seat cushion. This is going to wear out faster since it cannot be rotated/reversed from time to time.4. It annoys me that the back of the cushion is NOT completely finished with the upholstery on the front. This means it, like the seat, cannot be reversed to even out the wear.Having said all that, there are good things that make me want to keep it- mostly that it is very sturdy and solid. There is no creaking or movement, even when I am squirming and plopping trying to get comfortable. It also looks really good in the family room. I've never been the type to buy furniture for looks over comfort and practicality, so there lies my dilemma.I will follow up with photos if Amazon approves this review.10/20- Photos now added. The color is way off in the ones with measuring tape due to using flash (to make the numbers more visible).10/29- Ultimately, I ended up returning this chair. Not being able to sit in it long enough to watch a Hallmark Christmas movie (pain in my lower back, tailbone, and knees) told me that it just isn't the right size for me.

This was a really really good buy. The fabric is good and soft, the ottoman was easy to put together and it is very sturdy. Great quality
