I’m planning on returning this item.The banneton basket is poorly made and will not do well with bread placed in it. And I did not even receive the lame or the whisk!! Not impressed. I picked this option because it was seemingly the biggest bang for my buck... but now I wished I had spent a little more and gotten higher quality and not a hassle...

I received all items as ordered and they all perform well. I have made many loaves of sourdough bread and the basket has made the process easier to produce well shaped and nice looking loaves.

I’m very impressed with this product. A lot of the reviews say it’s missing pieces and not of good quality but I think it’s very nice! I didn’t have any problem with missing pieces. The basket seems very heavy and will hold my dough! Also the bread bag was a nice addition! The bag is of good quality and kept my bread from drying out. I’m looking forward to personalizing it with some vinyl! Thanks!

I make a lot of artisan breads and occasionally make sourdough. I saw this set and thought for this low price, it’s with a shot. It turned out better than I thought. I like using the lame for scoring the bread dough. The stirring whisk is strong and a lot better than my wooden spoon that I normally use. The proofing basket also comes with a liner and is nice but I wish I had two. ( probably next order). I have not used the stencils but I think they will be a decorative touch to my loaves. The set even comes with a bread sack (not the containment bag in the photo). The containment bag keeps all the parts together. This makes a good starter set for an amateur bread maker like me.

Just received this rattan bread basket set. Overall it is very nice, basket is well made and all the pieces were there. One problem - this is an 8 inch basket , not a 9 inch. That little bit of difference is not so little when you are baking. This will only hold 1 lb of dough, whereas, a nine will hold 1 1/2 to 2 lbs.UPDATE: Contacted the seller and they were very quick about resolving the issue.

This is an excellent starter set for a new baker. If you get into baking you’re gonna wanna purchase some additional proofing baskets but this is a great place to start. A Danish dough whisk is essential when you’re working with low gluten wet doughs.

Bought this for my son and daughter-in-law who have begun baking bread. Thus far, they love this kit.

I bought this and then was a little worried about some of the reviews claiming that 1) it arrived missing a few pieces and 2) it smelled.1) I’m happy to report that I got a complete kit. Whisk, scraper, basket, basket liner, bag, scoring lame and extras, stencils... it was all in there.Now, yes, there’s a smell, especially to the “linens”, but if you’ve ever worked with raw cotton before, you know that’s just the smell of it. Wash it and move on. It’ll go away after a wash. I’m fairly certain the “smell” was passed on to the bowl as well, so I’ll just air it out before I use it.Overall, very pleased with what I got and can’t wait to bake bread this weekend.

I bought this as I started baking sourdough. I love the dough whisk, the banneton bowl...everything. The banneton bowl can be a pain to clean, but that would be with any bowl. The lame works well for slicing your dough prior to baking.

I was pleasantly surprised when receiving this purchase. The whisk was a really good size and very sturdy, the proofing basket and liner were good quality, and the lame was comparable to far more expensive options at our local kitchenware shop. The only very small issue was the scraper was very flimsy, and poor in quality. It was unfinished in form with parts of the plastic not fully straight. Not really a problem though, it worked temporarily, and I’ll just purchase a seperate sturdier scraper, and still come out ahead.

The kit arrived reasonably quickly.The main downside is that the items are loose and do not come in a container or easy storage bag.On the upside, the quality of the products is very good.Also note that the danish dough whisk is a smaller size which is great for people like me with smaller hands and particularly if you are mixing smaller batches.

I have baked sourdough using these items many times and everything works well. One small problem was taking all the little pieces out of the stencils. Make sure to flour your basket before use!
