Got all the information you need to be that cool guy you now aspire to be. It does list all the *top* sources for all the stuff you need, and they come at the premium premium price, but very comprehensive.

A brilliant book with in depth research on many great artisans in Italy. The focus is on bespoke but not exclusively so. Highly recommended for anyone who has an interest in high end menswear.

Eloquently written and an homage to Italian artisans. Very insightful and reflective. Brings out the personal touch needed when writing about such a complex industry. Great work.

Good but not great, there are better books and details as labels, iconic fabrics, etc are not covered here. Some brands are clearly missing and do not see what was the reason behind it…

Remarkably researched look at the history of Italian men's style. The photography is first class. This is a look at the artistic Italian style of men's clothing, the materials used to produce it and the people who put it together. Suits, coats, shoes, shirts, ties, accessories...its all here. I guarantee you'll find many things in the book that you'd run out and buy, if you had the money. There isn't anything in the book I could afford but I'm getting ideas of how to put the Italian look together for myself in a much less expensive manner. Very glad I bought the book and I recommend it to any man who takes style seriously. All that being said, the book would be more aptly titled, "A History of Italian Men's Fashion". I would have preferred more photos of finished suits, jackets, shirts, etc on models, with accompanying descriptions , (you know....fashion), than extreme closeups of wool, wool, wool, the history of wool, the history of sheep, etc. Anyway, great book.

I bought this lovely book for a very stylish gentleman who loves it. Beautiful quality, wonderful photos and fascinating reading. Highly recommeded for anyone interested in the history of Italian fashion. My next purchase will be The Parisian Gentleman!
