Excellent start to a spooky campaign.
The only thing keeping this from a 5 star item is quantity. As far as quality goes, this hit the mark right where they were aiming. The module was easy to follow and had all the monster stat blocks right there on the page. And while it falls to the DM to really bring a spooky atmosphere to life, the descriptions give you a nice start. I really wish there was more to this, but for $10 I suppose it's a fair price point. If Legendary Games would publish say...a 1-10 level module, I'd gladly pay upwards of $30 or $40, assuming it is on the same level of quality this is.So all in all, a good buy in my opinion. Very good writing and atmosphere, I just wish there was more!

A fun little module
I rather enjoyed this one. It had some neat ideas that are little different than you normally run into, plot twists character ideas Etc. I'd recommend it oh, it's not real complicated and it could probably give you some good ideas on where to go after it's done, continuing in the same line. On the flip side each Adventure is good just by itself for a quickie in a game that's going on. I would say it's a fair price on a good piece of work. Happy gaming!

Worth a playthrough!
I have absolutely fallen in love with this little book. After purchasing it on a whim, it has inspired me to write out an entire campaign in a horror setting. I loved some of the ideas and thought of ways to expand on the concepts introduced in this book so that my players would have a really immersive experience. There are a couple of typos here and there that got passed editing, and each story (there are two in this book) is relatively short, but they're fun and to the point. I'd recommend reading the whole book all the way through if you plan on running both in a campaign, as there are details you can foreshadow from the second story into the first to really bring the tales alive.

The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name
5TH Edition version of D&D has been supported, so far, with official published adventures from Wizards of the Coast that are very high production value ,relatively lengthy campaigns. This is all well and good, of course, but does mean they are expensive and time consuming to run. A gap in the market then, which products like this, cheap and cheerful adventure double bill attempt to fill. This is two completely separate adventures, really ,although both set in the same small hamlet they have no tie ins or connections between them. This is odd, as it would be easy , and logical, to have them as following on from each other. With a minimum amount of work, a DM can do this work, no tips or hints are included to help though."Fiddler's Lament", the first scenario ,is by far the better effort, the opening encounter particularly good, funny and horrific at the same time. A nicely paced one-night game should be possible , also easy to make more or less challenging if desired. It does commit a slight transgression, for me, in the fact that the scene setting backstory, while quite detailed and interesting, as written can't be uncovered at all by the player characters, so, sadly a pointless couple of pages."Murmuring Fountain" is less successful, Lovecraftian horrors are specified as potential patrons and enemies in the 5th ed Players' Handbook but beyond name checking the King in Yellow, very little is made here of this rich fantasy/horror background. Even so, one or two encounters and ideas can be picked up ,even if the story as presented isn't used. The cover promises 5th edition , although I assume it is the lack of free licence agreements that explains the lack of the words "Dungeons & Dragons" as well. Even so, this product can be used with the latest iteration of the game, and with a bit of work, there's a good few hours of fun in a low priced package.
