It should, it is spring loaded mining it works with water pressure and spring pressure to control the flow

how many turns is needed on the adjustment bolt before you notice a difference in water pressure ?

The range on this pressure reducing valve is 25-75 PSI with 300 PSI maximum pressure as you turn the adjustment screw down(clock wise) you will see the change pretty rapidly since the amount of threads are not that many, the key is to have a pressure gauge visible so you can watch the PSI go up & down, what you do is add tendon on a coil spring internal!
