28505 Black Short Bar-Harness II

28' inch short will fit up to 31' inches with slight play left
I bought the 28' inch short intend for sport bikes handle bars. Turns out it fit's a 31 inch handlebar on Yamaha V star 650 Custom cruise bike. Had just enough slack to slip the tie downs through the end loops. It held on after 7 hours drive without problems. Note the Canyon Dancer is not intend to use to pull your bike on to truck beds or trailers. The super harden plastic loop rings is not strong enough. Although it will work, but not recommended. Beside you never pull motorcycle at the handlebars. Always Pull at the forks. Anyways Do it at your own risk. This is confirmed by email from Engineers of the Canyon Dancer. These Straps is intend only to Stabilize the motorcycle only and do not tighten down on the forks. Damage to fork seals will occur.

Secure Way to tie a Cycle down with easy installation
A friend of mine tried these out on his Honda Scooter and I was impressed with how easy it was to load and tie down securely with the Canyon Dancers. I have a DOUBLE rack for a pair of Vespa Primavera's. I decided to try one set first as I've been using conventional looped ratchet straps crossed over and padded at contact points. It has been a tedious 1 hour job to load and secure and properly pad all potential abrasion points. Despite the fact that I had to reset everything from scratch to try the Canyon Dancer today...my bike was loaded and secure with no pads needed in 15 minutes...i'm probably going to be 5-10 minutes next time. Wonderful, ruggedly constructed product that is a brilliant solution for us. Came home tonight and ordered a second set so we can mount both bikes using a paid of Canyon Dancers. One tip...a set of soft tie loops (about 10 bucks) can help give you ideal tie down points for your CD's and ratchet straps if your racks don't have the right angles built in. Anyway...if you're on the fence ...buy these, you won't regret it.

Exactly What I Ordered
I watched a tow operator use a Canyon Dancer Short Bar Harness to secure my Vespa for transport, and knew I needed one for my own use. The Short Bar is the perfect length for my scooter handlebars. It will greatly ease the process of securing my scooter for transport in the future.

Perfect product
I have a hayabusa and needed to find a product that extended the straps outside away from the body work and give me confidence in a few areas. The first area is I wanted to ensure there was no scratching of the body work and plastic fairings. The second area was good enough quality cups to hold the grips without damaging them. This product performs as described and gave me all the confidence I needed for my 2,200 mile road trip. AWESOME! 1 warning ....if you have bar ends remove them or they will bend or tear as they are not meant to provide torsional support. If you have grips that extend out into pistol grips or other decorative pieces again not meant to provide torsional support. Bottom line if your grips extend out past the bar and screw in or are decorative don't use this product unless you can remove the end pieces. Michael

Worked well for helping secure my Yamaha FJR in my utility trailer
Understand all of the limitations of your particular application before using. In my case I was aware of the reports of weak FJR 1300 handlebars, but wanted to use them as an additional element of security while transporting my bike 540 miles. In my case, I used them in conjunction with a wheel chock and other ratchet tie down straps and they worked great.

If you are trailering or trucking your bike, you NEED this. This version (28505) is for sportbikes.
I have experience with both the older version 1 of this product and this current version 2 (with the cups). This makes loading and securing your bike WAY easier and WAY more secure. No using tie downs on non-reinforced parts of your bike to keep it in place. Where this version (cups) is better than the standard strap version 1 is that the version one has a habit of twisting a bit when you tighten it down, thus causing issues with your grips and throttle, etc. you can avoid those problems if you are careful and aware of what you are doing, but the cup version mitigates most of that concern entirely.I have yet to see a better device to assist in safely securing the bike in standard fashion that wasn't some fancy mounting system or wheel chock system. If you are reading this then you need to buy this, its well worth the money and piece of mind you get by knowing your bike is properly secured.Seriously, just buy this and save yourself the trouble.

Short harness works great with Ninja 300
The short bar harness works well with the Ninja 300. The product is well made, the stitching is strong and the strap material is more than strong enough for any weight bike. The soft cover for the center strap protects the paint on the tank in the small area where there is contact. When installed there will be a twist in the harness, this is described in the instructions and is perfectly fine. Within the specified range, the strap is adjustable without stops. Great solution for sport bikes with fairings.

Dancing on the Canyon
This is an excellent product when used correctly to harness your motorcycle for transport. The Canyon Dancer cups fit over your handlebars and have a non abrasive padding within the cups so as to not damage any finish or components on your handle-bars. When used with a ratchet or alligator clip tie-downs this product holds the bike down securely for transport and prevents the front-end from any movement. Tie downs can be looped or hooked on the Canyon Dancer loops and the opposite ends of the tie-downs can be secured to your vehicles hardware or transport carrier. I highly recommend this product to anyone that wants to ensure the additional protection of their cycle. The Canyon Dancer is simple design and helps to avoid having to wrap or secure tie-downs on the frame work of your cycle.
