BJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Fitted Gi 100% PRE Shrunk Lightweight Ripstop Pearl Weave IBJJF Approved Uniform

After tearing a hole in the knee of my favorite gi, I needed to find a replacement. I love gis that are well designed but not gaudy and the Mamba gis fit the bill. Plus, with the low price and great reviews, it was easy to take a chance on a new company. I'm 5' 11" 1/2 and range between 188-195, so I followed the company's size chart and ordered a blue A3. A short 2 days later, I received the gi.It looks spectacular right out of the bag. With only a few embroidered patches, it's design is perfect for me. The "Mamba" name patch doesn't seem to be embroidered, but it doesn't take away from the look of the gi. The liner in the gi top runs through both sleeves as well as the torso. So, though I've never gone without a rash guard, I decided to try it with this gi. The liner in this gi was so comfortable, unlike the sandpaper quality some gis have after hang drying, that this felt like wearing a bath robe. It's literally THAT comfortable. The outside of the gi top and the rip stop pants are the same as every other gi I've owned and feel just as durable and tough, so I'm 100% sure they're be just as durable as any other.With the "tailored fit" it looks fantastic. I washed and dried it to see if it might shrink, even a little, and it fit exactly the same after washing and drying, which is nice if you don't like hang drying your gis (because they get stiff), or you don't like using fabric softener because you feel it weakens the material. I do prefer washing and drying a gi if I can, but with lots of gis you just can't because some continue to change sizes even past the first few washes. It's great to be able to wash and dry this and have zero change in the sizing.As for actually rolling and drilling, the gi was great. I'll be honest, I don't really pay attention to a gi when I'm rolling unless it doesn't fit right or something goes wrong with it, but this gi gve me no problems. It was comfortable and functional on every level from warm-ups to rolling.The only con so far was getting the drawstring through that initial small belt loop. My wife was the one who thought of using tweezers to pull it through and it was super easy once we did that. Without tweezers it's quite a task, but they're right when they say your drawstring will never come out in the wash.Overall, I'm really impressed with Mamba and after having such a positive experience with the blue gi, I ordered the white gi too because I loved both designs. Of all the gis I have, these may be my favorite. I am certainly a customer and fan of their products and I hope they continue to make quality items, because I'll keep buying from them.
