Poor quality or defective- get the electronic one
The unit I received wasn't calibrated properly- the needle sat a couple of marks below zero (and I'm at sea level). I also tried a hand held vacuum pump on it and the readings didn't match the pump's gauge either. Also I noticed that the motion of the needle wasn't smooth at one point (it kind of jumped).All that said, I had no problems returning this item. Shipping was very fast. Depo Racing was quick to respond and concerned about my level of satisfaction.I ended up going with Depo Racing's electronic stepper gauge for $20 more. The electronic gauge is excellent. It is accurate and comes with a mounting cup which the mechanical didn't.
