Q: A PHOTO of the un-packed bags would be oh so helpful! I am looking for something to hold accessories I can latch on to my air compressor. Would these?

I find these to be very handy to set inside other purses or luggage but don't know how you would attach them to your compressor. I also purchased Vaultz Mesh Storage Bags, Assorted Colors and Sizes, 4 Bags (VZ01211)And those have a small latch.

Q: So, are these Yellow or are they Black? I see some reviews saying they are Black and some saying they received Yellow.

I purchased a total of four sets; first ordered one set, which was yellow; then ordered more and got 1 black and 2 yellow sets. I doubt they will let you choose the color you want; seems to be random.

Q: I am going to be spending an entire summer traveling Europe with just a backpack. Would you say that these would work better than a packing cube?

These are definitely cheaper and work OK. I would say they are an OK substitution but they don't have as much structure as a packing cube. It will depend on what kind of backpack you have and if you can create structure in the backpack so these don't move around too much in your pack.
