Inline Replacement Zinc for 0188-3 TN-100

Shockingly easy to replace, perfect fit.
When I finally figured out I needed to replace this, I was looking at this picture. If you zoom in on the left side you can see the clear plastic tube where you can view the anode. In my case the anode was more than 50% gone. In my research I have come to find out the anode should be replaced every 2 to 3 years. The picture is what it looks like after 6 years with my salt pool. To replace it, shut off your pool, you unscrew the grounding wires attached to the black cap and then unscrew the release valve which is the little hand screw knob on the black cap, and then simply unscrew the black cap. The new one came with the o ring, and I just screwed it right back in place and started everything up again. Very simple. Don't let your local pool stores try to sell you the entire pipe assembly. You do not need to repipe just to change the anode. If your pool store tries to sell you the anode for $130 or more don't buy it just get this. It is all you need if you already have the anode piped into your pool system.

Great customer service
Great customer service. First one they shipped had a stripped drain plug. They sent another one right away. Fits just like the old one.

Great replacement, OEM.
Fit the original holder. I even made an extra one, to have two in my pool and works great as the washer comes with the anode.

perfect fit
This was a perfect replacement part. It even came with a new copper contact for the wire connection (which I didn't need, but probably will need in the future).

Is the exact style for what you have and change it every year
Inexpensive and easy fix compared to cutting out PVC to put in a whole new anode kit
