Some people who have never tried Filipino pastillas complain about texture and flavor. I’m sorry to tell those people that they have a bad tongue. A lot of our desserts are made from scratch and root crops so the texture comes from it being made from scratch. I have been eating this dessert for a long time and it is my favorite, especially the mix of ube and leche. Please don’t make comments if this is your first time trying this and you don’t know anything about Filipino food. You have to understand our dishes and sources before making comments that prevent Filipino sellers from becoming successful. Not all candies need to be smooth and extra sweet. This is a milk-bases sweet with root (ube) or leaf (pandan) crop blended into the mix.I hope the seller keeps selling this item because it reminds me of home.

Some candies are hard, looks old!
This is good but some candy in the bag are hard and old.

Pinay Stepmom Loves them
Purchased as Christmas gift for my Pinay (Filipino woman) stepmom and she loves them. My dad who's not Filipino also loves them.

Bad flavor and bad texture
These were gritty in texture and do not taste very good. The flavor reminded me of uncooked dough.
