I originally gave this chair only 2 stars because after 8 months of use the welds on the base of the chair broke making the chair unusable. I'm re-reviewing this chair after looking over the warranty (which amazon has a link to the pdf on product page), and contacting customer support. The woman who helped me over the phone was extremely polite and helpful and said the breakage of the welds is a defect in manufacturing and would be covered. She instructed me to email the manufacturer's customer support team with a description of what the problem is and to include pictures of the broken part, and a pic of the order confirmation. The very next day I received an email from them saying that they would honor the warranty and the part has been ordered and will be shipped to me within 24-48 hrs. I was very impressed with the speed in which they responded to my email and honored they're warranty. Thank you Flash Furniture :-)Now on to the actual product review,This chair is wonderful! I've read a lot of reviews on this chair and I suppose it all comes down to personal comfort. I'm not a small guy, I'm 6 ft tall and weigh in at approximately 210 lb. I'm a gamer and I spend hours and sometimes days sitting in this chair gaming and my backside doesn't get sore from lack of cushioning. The range that this chair has for reclining is great and when fully reclined it goes back rather far. It's great for kicking the feet up and binge watching a show on amazon prime video after a long day at work. I'd recommend this chair to anyone looking for lightweight recliner. With that being said, yes it is very light and easy to move about the house.The chair does not come fully assembled which for myself wasn't really a problem. The instructions are very easy to understand and it comes with the tools necessary to put it together. The only thing that I would suggest while assembling this piece is a adjustable wrench for holding the nut while tightening the bolts, so you can really crank them down. Assembly time would be approximately 20 minutes and then you'll be on your way to relaxing in no time.

This just came in this afternoon by Federal Express. Box weight was 46 lbs. I pulled the parts out and photographed them. The photos are being uploaded here. Then I assembled the chair and ottoman. Basic tools came with this kit, but I used my own tools. At first, I tighten the bolts and nuts up too tight on the back of the seat, which I realized when the chair would not adjust. After loosing the bolts, the chair adjusts easily. After it was assembled, I also realized that I had left the 2 center posts out of the photos, but I was not going to tear it back down to photograph them.The chair and ottoman seems solid and comfortable. Looks are in the eyes of the beholder, but looks good to me.1st impression, I am satisfied with it.Update. September 11, 2015I just reduced my rating of this chair by 1 star. I noticed last night that the chair seems to be leaning slightly. I confirmed that thought just now. That lean may have been there all along with me just noticing it. The other thought was that I weigh 300 lbs and I may be too heavy for it. In either case, the fact that it is leaning lowers my rating by 1 star from 5 stars to 4 stars. (If it crashes, then so will my star rating of it.)

First of all, thank you for the coating of black sand/grit that dumps out of the metal tubes, was super fun cleaning up.The armrests are way too low to be of use. The bottom plate is not fixed in any way to the chair or ottoman, so picking up the ottoman means disassembly. Same with the chair.Instructions aided in the guess work as nothing was labeled.Chair back comes up just below my shoulders at 6'0". You can tell this chair was built for a market with an average height of 5'6" or lower.So basically i wanted a cheap chair that wouldnt be a pain in the ass to move with until i settle down a bit. This is that kind of chair (other than the base plate that will fall off if you pick it up.I do not look forward to sitting in it. I do feel somewhat comfortable in short stints, i have not yet attempted to watch a movie sitting in it due to another furniture piece failing (god i hate ordering furniture on amazon)Small, short, armrests are too low for use (which is a strange thing imo) but its a chair and you can sit in it. Expect little with this chair. If you like me and need something cheap and mobilie then you might as well look into just renting furniture...what is basically what amazon is pushing me towards.Oh...it does look nice, like an actual leather office chair that has an ottoman. If only it was a comfy as it looked.

Once I put it together, which was very easy, I saw how cheap it is in appearance. Some stitching is sloppy and the shape of the back rest foam is deformed slightly in places. The fake leather is very soft and may not last very long however there are zippers so replacing them may be possible. The construction of the chair seems sturdy and durable. The chair sits very low and is small for a recliner and is perfect for my small apartment. The foam is very soft and is also very thin, I can't see the loft lasting very long though. In conclusion, I think I over paid for this chair and would only recommend buying if it goes on sale.

The chair is comfortable enough, and it was incredibly easy to put together. It's a bit smaller than I expected, but it's not bad. The reason for the two star review, though, is that there is already a piece broken on the chair after less than a week of light to moderate use. The piece belongs to the part that stops the chair from reclining back, so now there is nothing stopping it from leaning back. It's manageable, however a piece having broken in less than a week does not bode well for the chair's quality. I'd suggest you keep looking for a different chair.

Caveat emptor people. One of my biggest beefs with Amazon is all the unsuitable stuff that comes up, like this set, even though I typed in genuine leather recliner. It is what it is I suppose. Looks cheap, rather hard seating and low to the ground. As my daughter said "you've got to quit ordering this kind of stuff from Amazon". Flash furniture should remove the word "Leather" from the description of this item.

So far this chair has been great. It sets up easy, and has no problems handling the weight of larger people. the recline function works perf3ect and locks in place which is nice. For the price with free amazon prime shipping, you can't beat it. It is very comfortable and so far I am enjoying it.

It has been a while and I love this chair. It is great for relaxing in and for working on my knitting projects. It is a bit low for working on my computer but I manage. I would not recommend for a computer chair if you work at your desk all day. But as a recliner. It is perfect.
