Journey Girls Dolls, 18-Inch Dana Hand Painted Doll with Brown Hair and Blue Eyes

I purchased Ilee as a holiday gift and the doll is stunning!! I was worried that the doll would have neon blue eyes and bright pink swatches of hair as the pictures allude to but that is not the case. Her eyes are a beautiful natural blue almost with a grayish tint, her lips are a nude color as well. Her platinum blonde hair does have streaks of pink but it is so light that you don't even notice upon opening the doll. Ilee's hair is super soft and appears that it will be easy to style. Even the clothes and accessories look well-made. The only con I have is the packaging. For a doll that is cuter and just as well-made as American Girl Doll (not a fan of AG doll faces or body structure), it would be great if the doll's packaging was a separate box with a clear film window. Maybe growing up in the 90s I am just seeking that vintage store-bought feel, but it's a bit odd to open the box only to find a thin printed cardboard sheet with a cutout for the face. While it's nice to be able to check the doll over easily for any defects before gifting, I think the overall look could be improved. So if you are looking for a platinum blonde with blue eyes, don't hesitate, this is your doll. Any 18" doll clothes or accessories will fit.

This doll is so pretty. She's the third journey girl doll we have purchased and she again didn't disappoint. My granddaughter loves her, but we had to buy a replacement because the first one had several knots in her hair that made it fall out. The second one is perfect, but I hope it doesn't happen again. And the replacement went very smoothly. The first doll I got is now without arms(they just about fell off after a year) I got another and I just love these dolls. I love doing their hair and outfits! Our Generation and American Girl clothes both fit very well. The dolls with curly hair got frizzy hair really fast so I just got it wet and wow! The curls came out more beautiful and more stunning then before. Their faces are so much more pleasing to look at then American Girl Dolls. I am so happy to have the dolls!

She was on sale for 43% off at19.99 along with Kelsey the red-haired doll, and Kyla the brown hair doll ( the last of who I also wanted but got sold out before I could get to my cart to purchase). Y'all.... For real, I cannot say enough nice things about this doll that was a fifth of the cost of an American girl doll. Which is exactly why I got it because my 2-year-old granddaughter likes to play with my 22-year-olds American girl dolls, some of which are collectible and of course I don't want a toddler playing with $100 dolls. For 20 bucks if she messes these up, who cares! They are still of excellent quality, they come with the outfit and the shoes, Kelsey comes with a hat. I didn't put up any pictures because there's no need to they look exactly how they show you online. They come in a nice little cardboard box that has a purple printed bow and some details on it, and once you open that box it has a bit similar thing to the American girl doll with facing on the front where the head part is cut out so you can see their face. So it was still packaged really nice like you would expect a more expensive doll to be. The only thing where American Girl might have an edge is in the clothing material, which was still beautiful but just not as higher quality as the American Girl doll on brand outfits. These dolls are also cheaper than the my generation dolls and definitely better than them. And their faces are much more expressive and not all similar like the American Girl dolls. If your child doesn't care about brand names, but is into these 18-in dolls that are like them and have play sets and clothing you can get for them... I'd definitely go with the Journey brand dolls again. I have a few of them on my wish list to round out my granddaughter's collection, hoping they're still there by then!

This is my second JG doll, my first from Just Play. The newer dolls have better head tilt (at least compared to my older doll.) The quality otherwise is basically the same - delightful with soft beautiful hair and a nicely designed/sewn outfit. This doll was originally called Adriana but they changed it to Alana. If you like her overall look then you should enjoy her. I'm very pleased! For doll collectors: she arrived in absolutely perfect condition and the carton was pristine. This particular JG box doesn't feature a clear viewing window. She displays beautifully with other dolls. 5 Stars

Journey Girls dolls have such beautiful faces, and the Meredith doll does not disappoint. She is lovely, as is her yellow purse. Her clothing is also nicely made. The only disappointment is her packaging. Original Journey Girls dolls came in a colorful printed box with a clear plastic front, so you can see the doll inside. This doll was "new," but she came in a brown cardboard box with "Journey Girls" printed on the outside. If collecting these dolls ~ or gifting them to someone who will keep the box ~ it's a disappointment to not have the original style box. I ordered one Journey Girls doll as "Used - Very Good" from Amazon Warehouse whose description said she might not come in original packaging. So when that doll (Kyla) came in a brown cardboard box, I was expecting different packaging, and was pleasantly surprised that the cardboard box was as nice as it was ~ with "Journey Girls" printed on it, along with a gift label. However, when I ordered a 'new' Meredith doll, and she came in a brown cardboard box, it was honestly a surprise and a disappointment. If you're ordering for a child, with no intention of keeping the box ~ or trying to keep the doll in its box as a collectable ~ it's a lovely doll at a good price. And I wouldn't pass up Meredith, Kyla, or Kelsey. Truly beautiful dolls. Thank you for carrying, Amazon!

This was my 5 y/o daughters Santa gift this Year! Asked Santa for a doll with hair like her! She is beautiful and worth every penny! Her hair is silky smooth and the clothes she comes with are cute!
