We have a lot of decks and stairs that could do with lighting. Having dealt with solar-powered specialty lights before, I ordered these to try them out. I don't have a lot of good experiences with them, but the price was right, and I decided to give it a shot.And I can say I am happily surprised. The lights were much brighter than expected and lasted much longer. Of course, depending on the exposure to sunlight, the light might last longer and burn brighter - but overall, they beat my expectation.The installation on a wooden deck went fast and without issues.A cautionary note: if you plan to put these lights on stairs - keep in mind that the lights will show a height of about a quarter inch. This does mean a higher chance of tripping over. I did not install them on stairs, but I understand that they might cause a trip hazard if you do.That comes with a side note, though; in winter, the lights are far, far less bright - logically. And they burn shorter than in the summer. But we need them for the summer, during which they perform nicely.It also needs to be stated that - since these are solar-powered lights, having them installed where the lights get enough exposure to the sun is mandatory.

Simple to set up, inexpensive, but adds a nice touch to our deck area. The lighting is soft and subtle... Just what we were looking for. Not super bright, but pleased with our purchase. I would recommend if you are looking for that extra lighting touch to change the look of your deck.UPDATE... The lights stay on from sunset to sunrise. I only expected approximately 6 hours at most. 12 hours 2 nights in a row, after a full day in the sun. Very pleased!

Small but decdorative. These small solar lights add a decorative flair to your deck railing. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating is I would like a bit more light out of them. They are not really bright, but do add to the ambiance, I am pleased with the charging ability of the solar cell as some of the lights are in shade most of the day, yet they still light up at night.

My lights just came on from my upper deck on my house. They are perfect and don't glare so bright you can look right at them. So easy to install and they were fully charged and all came on within 10 minutes of each other. What a bargain. I am thrilled to death. I just want to add one more thing. Two of mine went out and I threw them away. Don't do that. I just ordered replaceable batteries on Amazon and put one in the third one that went out and it's working fine. Wished I would not have tossed the other two because a 12 pack of batteries are really cheap so you can have your lights for a long time. Live and learn. Need to add one more thing. In two months 6 of my lights have flamed out. I did buy the batteries and the light came back on but won't shut off so if they give out best to buy more but it gets expenisve to replace every 2 months. They just flame out fast and even a new battery won't stop the malfunction. I am ordering some replacements because I love the look but might have to order better quality in the future. These were cheap and fun at first until they started sparking out.

This is a good set of lights, which we use around the perimeter of the deck. However, the screws included for installation are too short. They seem to last a while. I bought the first set last summer and used them for a few months. They sat in a dark drawer all summer and were ready to be used again this summer with minimal dimming compared to the new set we bought this summer. My star rating has more to do with the screws than the quality of the lights.

Did not last long and needs to be directly in sunlight but it stopped after the first charged. Not worth the money. You need to keep a good battery in yet it needs to be charged by sunlight. It doesn’t make sense and I don’t recommend these.

I loved it, it looks wonderful in my garden, I will order more again, thank you.
