Wondering why this doll bassinet isn’t recommended for two-year-olds

Suffocation hazard maybe. The insides is lined with a plastic material so if they tried climbing into it they may not he able to breath. That would be the only concern for me. There are no small parts with it.

Does the top cover pull back for full access?

No, just the top folds down. It is very well made & very nice - great price compared to similar items. My daughter loves it & really likes the additional accessories.

Can this fit a 20” baby

Not if you want the baby's head inside the top part. The American Girl doll which is 18" barely fits.
