Zebralight is going to take over the WORLD!!
I'll admit... I'm a flashlight junkie. When ever someone asks, "anybody have a flashlight?" I can generally be counted on to have at least 2 on my person... "Sure, what flavor you want?" haha! I CAN understand however, that others might think 60-someodd bucks for a VERY small flashlight may be a bit excessive. For this flashlight, it's a BARGAIN! The amount of light this thing pumps out is very eye-opening. When I first turn it on around others, they generally say, "Whoa!" When they see the size of the thing, they say "DANG!! No WAY!!" This light is extremely well thought out too. With regard to its modes of operation, someone with some common sense designed it. It takes a brief familiarization to get used to all the functions, but after that, it works exactly how you want it to work. The modes and brightness levels are customizable, so even the craziest among us should find something that works for them. Lastly, the build-quality of the SC52 is simply OUTSTANDING!! It stands at the top of any comparison of build quality I can think of. SureFire included! The threads are clean and precise, of which there is only one set, the tail cap. The head and body are one (Uni-body) piece of billet bar stock... SUPER tough! Anodizing is HA-III and looks great! It avoids the UBER-macho Tactical look that is sooooo popular at the moment, so it doesn't have a Razor-Edge crenelated bezel for motivating perp's into the back of a Swat Paddy-Van, or a Skull-Strike tail-cap for dispatching flailing zombies, or a Border Fence repair tool for... o.k. you get the picture. It's a much better light for the lack of those questionably useful add-ons. C'mon guys, it's a flashlight! Hit the button and photons (lots of em!) come out the end. When you're done, it goes back in your pocket and doesn't gnaw a hole in your Wranglers. In my opinion, it's the best deal going in it's class, I'd recommend the SC52 (mine's the warm, as in beam-tint "W" version) to anyone!

Great backpacking light
Pro's:1. Small Size. I like to backpack and this was the perfect replacement for my bigger light with similar options.2. Ultra Low setting. The 0.06lm setting is great for shining at the ground to see what's in front of me at night, without signaling anyone else. I can literally shine the light on the ground at 0.06lm and people from 50 feet away do not notice. Though it should be noted that you need to point the bulb at the ground always, and not point it horizontal as the bulb is bright enough to signal people if you shine it directly at them.3. Decent brightness level. around 280lm.(Note it has greatest energy efficiency)4. Cost, if you don't know about flashlights, then this won't make since. But I assure you that other flashlights in it's class start around $100.Con's:1. Getting use to the U.I.(user interface) is difficult. If you want something simple, then this isn't it. The learning curve is higher than most flashlights with a U.I.2. Also if you do let it run on max brightness, the flashlight will become too hot to hold after 15-20 minutes. I'd say that you should only have it on max for 5 minutes at a time. But it can maintain at 108lm until it;s dead without heat issues.Tips for programming:1. This is complicated, but here goes. The are 3 main levels....... 2 settings in each level. So 6 different settings in all. As you might have guessed, the 3 levels represent High, Medium, and Low......Are you with me here? Low has 2 settings, Medium has 2 settings, High has 2 settings........ If you want 0.06lm as a settings, then you can only get there through the Low level. And this is where it gets even more complicated........... Only one of the low level settings can be programmed. The highest setting cannot be programmed, so if you want that custom setting, you need to be on the lower of the two settings. So L1 represents the brightest level of Low, and L2 is programmable. This same setup is true for Medium and High. M1 is the brightest, M2 is programmable..... H1 is the brightest, H2 is programmable.2. When you are on the programmable setting, which is the lower of the two options, then........ 6 clicks really does work, then your in the programming mode, then click through to find what you want......... Once the setting you like is present, then turn the flashlight off, and leave it off.............. If that doesn't help, then click through YouTube videos to see how someone is doing it live. Conclusion:The U.I. alone is enough to put off a lot of people. But for those who have spent the time to use flashlights with them, this could be the flashlight you have been looking for. Especially the 0.06lm option, I have not seen that low from anything except an infinite variable light, and those usually are far less energy efficient. Hope that helps =)

High performance and easy to use
I did a lot of research before picking the Zebralight SC52W. I read a bunch of EDC discussion forums, online reviews, watched Youtube comparison videos, and the SC52W fit all of my requirements, and they are:-Small physical size, recessed power button that won't get activated accidentally-Very bright-Multiple brightness settings that are useful-Strobe settings-Takes conventional rechargeable batteries-Made of durable materialAfter carrying this as part of my EDC lineup for over two months since purchase, every single one of those expectations were met without any negative aspects. This is a high quality product and one of the very best you can buy.The only some-what negative thing I can think of (if it even qualifies as that), is that too often I can't even find a use for this awesome flashlight, since in most everyday situations, just the LED light on my smartphone or any cheap LED key-chain light you can buy for a couple of dollars is already perfectly adequate. A high performance flashlight is just overkill for the average person who doesn't have special needs due to job or lifestyle. But I'm not carrying a high performance flashlight in my EDC lineup just for typical everyday use--it's also for those very rare emergency situations, so for the sake of preparedness, it's good to have.
