LinkedIn Makeover: Professional Secrets to a POWERFUL LinkedIn Profile

Not bad if you have no idea what you're doing with LinkedIn (think: younger audience fresh to the workforce or someone who's needing to start a search for the first time in several years). Most of the tips in here are pretty common sense if you're observant - there wasn't much she suggested that I hadn't already implemented simply by using LinkedIn organically and picking up things I liked in other people's profile to absorb into my own. It's a quick read nonetheless and it may be helpful if you need help getting started.

I've read this book cover-to-cover and have found Donna's guide to be the best book on writing LinkedIn profiles out there. And I have read them all. This is the book I use it in my work with clients and the only one I recommend people buy to help them write their LinkedIn profile. Comprehensive, easy to follow, with terrific instructions and so many great examples. You will definitely achieve your objectives and improve your profile if you follow Donna's advice.

Don't look any further - this is the real thing! Took a course on Lynda.com and spent big bucks on a 325 page LinkedIn book from Barnes and Noble. Both only talked about the mechanics. Donna's book tells you how to set up and manage your profile, along with getting more connections and exposure. Allowed me to get up and running within a day after years of procrastinating. This is the best step by step instruction book on optimizing your profile on Linked In I could actually use.

This is an excellent book, cutting through the complexities of LinkIn. It helped me a lot as unfortunately I'm looking for a job at age 60 and applying for a job is strictly through social media.
