Twin to Twin

I got this book for my sister in law who is expecting twins. A boy and a girl. This book is perfect especially since it displays the twins as one boy and one girl. It’s easy to read and has a sweet rhyme. I’m very sentimental so it brought tears to my eyes every time I read it. My only wish would be that it came in thicker material so it would last longer. Littles, especially toddlers love to tear books when they get a hold of them.

I do not agree with the reviewer who said that the text was not very good. It is fun to read because of the rhyming text, and it is simple and brief enough to begin reading it to very young twins. I especially like the end that states, "Double hands, skin to skin, Double hearts, twin to twin." It is nice that it starts out at the beginning of the twins' lives and then as the book continues, it describes other events as they get older. Although the pictures are showing boy/girl twins, it is appropriate for all combinations of twins. I am going to be buying it for a friend who is having twins because we have enjoyed this book so much.

We're expecting the arrival of our twins in the next few weeks and I purchased this book as a Father's Day gift to my husband. The illustrations are sweet, and the simple rhyming messages are worthy of oohs and aahs. My intentions were to celebrate his fast-approaching first time at fatherhood while simultaneously building a children's library collection for our two boys. This book will surely be one that the lot of them read and share together time and time again.

I have b/g twins and we have a nighttime routine of reading 3 books before bedtime and this is always our first one. My kids are not yet a year old and we've been reading this book for about 3 months now...every day and they know it means that it's time to relax and cuddle and enjoy.The colors are soft and vibrant at the same time, the illustrations are adorable and I love how the twins in the book, grow/age a bit from beginning to end...it's a nice progression and we relate to it.This book has become extremely special to us and our family and I can't recommend it highly enough; it's written by somebody who must really know the joy of twins; we celebrate "twindom" daily! :)

Was perfect. It's hard to find books worth fraternal twins. The parents loved it.

This is a delightful book and the last page brings a tear to my eye every time. My twin daughters love it. If you dislike americanisms like diaper, band-aid and ladybug it may not be the book for you but it doesn't affect the enjoyment for me.

Simply beautiful! My twin boys love it with its inbuilt rhythm for fun reading. No problem its for our American cousins market really - we have Americans in the family! I get emotional every time I get near the end...

Such a sweet book. "Double hands, skin to skin. Double hearts, twin to twin." Can't wait to read it to my twins when they grow a bit older!
