My LED taper candles shipped and arrived promptly. I like the fact that it was packaged modestly; in a simple sturdy box.I purchased this set for a candelabra in an outdoor living room are for my daughters wedding reception. They looked great and from a distance you couldn't tell they were not real candles. I thought they were very realistic. The candles were easy to use, just pop in the batteries, turn the base to turn them on. They don't come with batteries, but I prefer to use my own anyway. I just buy the huge pack at Costco and I'm ready for anything that needs a battery for life! I thought the pricing was great and my daughter and I will each be using them at home instead of regular candles.Thank you for reading! I love these candles... Technically, I love all candles... but with animals and young children around , the risk of open flame scares the heck out of me! I found the answer with these taper candles!!! the are realistic looking and even feel like wax! The LED light is bright and even appears to be flickering! it requires 2 AA batteries and I have already had them on for 25+ hours and still have no need to replace the batteries, not to mention, they are a great price! The Led does not get hot either. I liked these so much that I have already purchased others in different sizes. I highly recommend these candles!

I used these at my daughters wedding and reception.We would have preferred real candles, but the venue wouldn't allow open flames.The reviews were right: When you unscrew the base enough to turn them off, the spring pops the base off the bottom, and the batteries fall out. It's tricky to find just the right spot that allows you to turn them off, but keeps the base attached. I'm going to have to store one of the candles with the base detached, or without batteries, because there was no spot I could turn it to that would do both. They need a bigger threaded area so you can unscrew the base to break the connection with the battery, but the bottom will stay attached. 7 of the 8 candles could turn off properly, but they were a challenge, and I had lots of bases pop off before I got them to stay turned off.As far as the appearance: I wasn't expecting the best, but I was still disappointed. Up close, these candles don't look realistic at all. The plastic top just looks dorky up close. I would never use them in a table setting. But from a fair distance, they do look nice, and they flicker like a real flame. We used them on a fireplace mantle in a large room and they were lovely from a distance, when the room was fairly dark, lighted mostly by sparkling lights and candles.Positive features: 1) They were cheap, compared to other options. 2) They use standard AA batteries. 3) They won't catch anything on fire. 4) They look good in the dark and from a distance, and they flicker realistically.Negative features 1) A hassle to turn off. 2) They look fake up close.

I ordered 8 of these and one did not work and unfortunately I thought they were "timed", but realized when they were still on this AM they were not....my bad for not reading the description thoroughly. They were a little shorter than what I needed, but they look nice. They base was a bit small for some of the candle holders, but a little candle holder wax worked well. Sure beats trying to use candles you need to light; too bad they don't come in colors and are timed.They do flicker and look very nice. I got the ivory which I think are more realistic. They have a sort of wax coating. I was going to try and spray paint the one that is not working to see how well they will accept different colors of paint.

We purchased this product for my mother-in-law's memorial. The church did not allow real candles so I bought these lead candles instead. They look very real and when lit, they flicker like a real candle. We used these candles on two candelabras and they looked beautiful. What I like about these candles is that you can turn the battery off when you do not want them to be lit. I would caution anyone purchasing these is to insert the batteries in the candles and test them in advance to ensure they work. In addition, after the use, remove the batteries from the candles to ensure that they do not leak so they would last you a lifetime. These candles are great, natural looking, elegant and safe for both happy and not so happy occasions for centerpieces, etc.. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

The Candles work great! The one thing is they have been dipped in wax so in order to get the batteries installed you need to score the parting line at the base. After scoring it easy to unscrew the base and install the batteries. Fortunately I saw a previous review stating to do this it worked great.

I wasn't impressed with these. I ordered four and when I went to use them. Two of them didn't work. I managed to get a third working after some finagling. It advertises these as an option for holding during a vigil or other task, but I would NOT carry them with my hands. The waxy coating comes off on your hands leaving behind a horrible textured feeling. The diameter was marked at 1", which I took to heart since I needed that exact measurement for a project I was working on, and turns out the diameter at most was 3/4". I know it may not seem like a big deal, but like I said, the project I was working on required specifics.Judging from previous reviews, the seller has made many many changes to these candles since selling them. It's an okay deal, but the quality was so hit or miss, I wouldn't recommend them.

We needed some candles for our Thanksgiving table and these were absolutely perfect. I loved the wax on the candles to make it realistic and the bulb flickers like it’s a real lit candle. I also loved how the bulbs were smaller and not large like the other ones I’ve seen so overall it’s very very realistic. Price was also perfect! I’d been searching for over a month and finally came across these.No problems setting up and all the bulbs lit up fine.

The ones i bought at the dollar store worked better than these. For one they dont even work anymore and for two they barely lit up at all. They should also come with stands or something but they dont. It would be fine if they didnt just stop working all together after just one month

Excellent customer service they deserve 10 stars!! The candles look beautiful at night and the flame is realistic. Up close in the daylight not as nice as at night when on.
