Needless to say I have developed an array of aches and pains. Over the years I have replaced my chair, always heeding my boss’s warning of “Keep it under $300!” This year two of my coworkers received new chairs, i.e., my reject under $300 chairs. I explained the good reviews I’d read about Haworth, as well as the concepts of inflation and you get what you pay for, and he finally relented. I’m so glad he did. The mega-adjustable arms make way more difference than one would expect. And other than them, I’m not fighting with or readjusting the chair settings all day long. I used to spend half my day doing that before. It’s comfortable, it’s breathable, and I don’t wind up with a tension headache every night like I used to. I do wish my version had the up close/forward setting I’d read about. I didn’t read enough to notice that it wasn’t featured on the chair I ordered. But I do have a standing desk, so I usually just get up for an hour or so when I’m in a certain type of zone. Point is, this chair may not fix my bulging lumbar and cervical discs, but it definitely lets me forget about them for several hours a day! And did I mention how much I love the arm rests?!?!!
