Stays sticky a LONG time!
I used this to make cat deterrents to keep my 3 curious cats off the kitchen counters. I applied this to long pieces of cardboard that I set at the edges of the counters when the kitchen in not in use, and around plants they were damaging. (Putting it on cardboard strips allows me to remove it for cooking or when guests are here, and then put it back out again without using more of the tape.) When the cat tries to jump up on the counter, they land on the sticky tape and HATE it, and immediately jump back down. It's been several MONTHS now using these in this way, and they are still sticky and working great! I have not replaced the original tape so far, and aside from a bit of fur and some paw prints they are still quite sticky and functional. No more cats counter surfing or eating my plants! I would caution that this tape is a bit difficult to remove once on a surface - I tried it directly on the counter first, and it was very hard to get off again. That's another reason I used the cardboard strips and applied it to those instead of directly on the countertop.

Pros and Cons + Alternative Uses
PROS: In terms of what this product is intended to do it works AMAZINGLY well. I adopted a stray 2 month old kitten that I found and then immediately realized my apartment was in no way ready for a kitten so I ordered this to help make things secure. It only takes him two or three times of feeling the stickiness before he stops even trying. Example: my trash can became his favorite bed so every morning I was waking up to the trash can on its side and trash everywhere. It finally occurred to me to use the tape on it and so far it's been 3 nights with tape on the trash can and I have not woken up to a knocked over trash can since. Same goes for my shelves with decorations, and the cabinet that holds my cleaning supplies (that one is also secured with a child lock though, cant have him trying to eat lysol wipes or something dangerous like that so it gets double security measures). CONS: It is VERY sticky. I did notice one time that when he pulled his paw off the tape he shook his paw the next time he stepped on it. I checked his paws and he is fine but it is really sticky for kittens. What I've done to help is that now when I place it I stick my own hand to it a few times first. This helps get rid of the maximum stickiness but still stays sticky enough that it deters him. Hes a domestic short hair so it's not too bad, but may be more of a concern if your cat or kitten is long haired and has very furry paws. Second con is that it did take off some of the paint on my kitchen cabinets. That being said the instructions clearly say to test a small strip before using it on a large area so that one is kind of on me. BONUS FEATURES: So while this tape is intended to stop scratching, I found 2 other very useful features for it. 1: Keeping things in place. As always my kitten wants to gradually knock things off my desk and coffee table. A simple solution I've come up with is to stick this stuff on the bottom of whatever he likes to knock off and ta-da my pencil cup is now staying on my desk. 2: Keeping him from chewing cords. Behind my tv is a fair amount of cords. I did my best to organize and minimize them but he was naturally still very interested. I used this tape to bundle 3 cords together and it both helps in organizing and in stopping him from chewing on them. Overall I'm really happy with this product. Everyone who's complaining that it damaged their furniture or took off paint did not read the instructions or honestly just use common sense, the second I felt how sticky it was I had a pretty strong feeling it was gonna take some paint with it. Also the most important note to add is that YOU NEED TO GIVE YOUR CAT AN ACCEPTABLE ALTERNATIVE SCRATCHING SURFACE. Cats have a need to scratch so if you use this tape but dont give them anywhere acceptable to scratch it's just gonna be a cycle of them finding a new thing to scratch that you are also not ok with. Embrace the scratching, they need it on the same level that they need a litter box. It's not just a toy but a legitimate need for your cats health and happiness.

Works great!
Finally a cat deterrent that works as promised! I have a 1-year-old cat that gets the zoomies and runs around the house diving up in the air through the doorways and slides down to the floor ruining the door trim. This tape is the perfect width and the roll is large enough to redo the doorways several times. It goes on crystal clear and invisible, and pulls off clean when changing it. Best of all it has curbed that urge for him to jump on the doorways.

Good tape
This tape does exactly what i wanted, no claw marks on couches and doors. I saw some reviews saying it left residue/marks but i would say it depends on the environment whether the tape leaves marks and ruins couches/surfaces- if your place is not humid 24/7 then it will be good to use

Sticks too well
I had read the reviews about not putting this on leather but I don't know if I would trust this on fabric either. I put it on plastic placemats to lay on the seats of my dining chairs. My cats hates it and stays off my table. The problem is that after a few months the tape had picked up lint, a gnat or two and I wanted to replace the tape. I finally managed to peel up the corner enough to pull off the tape. It left a glue residue so bad that I just threw out the placemats. They were from the dollar store so it wasn't a big deal. The point that I'm making is don't put this on something that you plan on taking it off of. I put some on my desk and when I went to take it off the finish came off with it. It was particle board with a thin paper coating.

Great Product
We recently rescued a cat that isn't used to being indoors. He's slowly adjusting to our home environment. There are times he scratches on the wooden door and floor inside his bedroom (one of our guest rooms). We used thick clear plastic shelf liner with frog tape to cover the floor area near the door (as we don't want our hardwood floor damaged). We also put frog tape on our wooden painted door. Then we used this Polarduck Anti Cat Scratch Tape on top of the other products—and that is doing the main trick of saving our door and floor! Without your tape, our new cat was pulling up the other items with his teeth and claws. The only complaint is that we didn't come across this fabulous product sooner! It's also a great value compared to the smaller and thinner rolls of other brands that we found in a local national pet store. We're happy we found it on Amazon. Amazon was 1 day late in delivering it which was a bit annoying as a Prime subscriber – but not any fault of the product.

Nothing special in this product just a simple double side tape

I purchased this on a whim a few years ago, with just some hope that using this would stop the cats scratching on my damn couch. I can happily report back, that it worked! I put it over the areas that cats regularly scratched at and they obviously didn’t like the feeling, so stopped completely. I will add however, as it is tape, everything gets stuck to it. Cat hair, fluff, dust, whatever particles are floating through the air. But hey, I guess you gotta pick your battles. 🤷🏻♀️

Once I figured out how to separate it properly it was excellent! At first it was a struggle to pull it apart. If you leave a small length of tape beyond the white backing then it’s easy. It works and you can’t see it if you’re not looking for it. Seems to keep my feral cat off!

Purchased this when cat sitting as the cat was prone to scratching furniture. It worked really well and had no issues with the adhesive on the fabric couch for up to two weeks. Around the two week mark, the ends started peeling off but this was fine for us as we were only cat sitting for just over 2 weeks. Kept our couch in pristine condition.
