Just Under Two Years
I bought this item in February of 2017. It worked as described and I loved it! Just shy of the two year mark, it stopped working. It didn’t ‘blow out’ per se but when flipped on, it’s so dim you can’t see anything in the room. The description said 30,000 hours but mine isn’t living up to that.

Drugs are cheaper than this lightbulb, but it is a good tool to have for your sleep hygene
You will never want to leave this bulb in a light socket except as a gag for your teenager who wants to stay up late without going to bed. It would be also great on a date over a glass of wine so as the conversation advances the mood can direct both of you to bed, perchance to sleep. I lost it when I moved and often think of it screwed into my bedroom ceiling light fixture, wondering if the new renters will find it and use it, or due to lack of imagination and appreciation, throw it away as worthless. You decide.

So glad i bought it!!!
I bought this for my 9 yr old son because bedtime always caused an argument: he wanted the light on, I wanted it off! I know that his body will not naturally fall asleep as easily with the light on. So when I saw the Drift Light I had to try it! So far it has worked great! I use it on his desk lamp, set it to midnight mode and he has 37 minutes of slowly dimming light. He doesn't always fall asleep by then, but there is no more arguing about lights on or off. It was a little pricey but I am extremely happy with my purchase! There have been some comments from people saying their light cuts off before the 37 minutes or doesn't fully dim, but I have not had any problems with ours. It does exactly what it claims, and its well worth it to eliminate that nighttime frustration!

Great, a little slow to dim but works very well.
This is a great idea. It was a fight every night to turn off the light for the kids. Now, we start this process and they're usually out by the time it turns off. The only complaint I have is that it seems very slow to dim, like you don't notice anything until that last 10 of the 37 minute cycle. Then it's lowest setting is brighter than typical night light. So it can be a bit jarring to have ti slowly dim, then suddenly shut off.

Love the drift light!
I've been using it every night for about 3 weeks and it works just like It said it would. It did take me a few minutes of fiddling with it to figure out the settings (it has 3. It can be used as a regular lamp, dim to a "twilight" which is like a nightlight, or fade to all the way off) but the instructions are pretty clear on how to use all the settings so just read them. I use it mostly on the setting that dims all the way off. I have had problems falling asleep so I thought I'd give it a try and it really helps. It would usually take me an hour+ to fall asleep but I've noticed that since I've had the drift light I've been falling asleep before the light drifts to all the way off. Would recommend it for anyone who has difficulty falling asleep or people with children who need a night light, or people who tend to fall asleep with the light on.

It's a nice concept, but just didn't work out for me
I purchased a [4] pack. [1] died within minutes of turning it on. [1] stopped working after the second night of using it. The other [2] bulbs I didn't bother opening since the first two had already failed. I returned them. It's a nice concept, but just didn't work out for me.

Using as a Pet Bird light
I use this with my Conure at bed time, for him. I didn't care for just turning out the lights at his bedtime since that is what doesn't occur in the wild. This light will go from full on to out, dimming slowly, in about 30'. When he sees the light dimming, he goes to his night time perch and settles in.Great light.

Awesome light!
I love this light! I bought it to help my daughter fall asleep. She insisted on keeping the light on until she fell asleep, keeping her up much longer because she never really relaxed. Now, with this naturally dimming light she just became more and more relaxed. Then when it was totally out, she was fine because it wasn't a total shock or change. She goes to bed so much faster now. I am very impressed with this amazing light!

Cool gadget for getting the kids to settle down at bedtime
Works as it should but flickers perceptibly on first phase of auto dimming. Vendor sent replacement but that’s the same. Not a big issue but I’m sensitive to flashing lights so I don’t use it as intended - which is a shame at the price

Waste of money
Flickers like crazy as it drifts towards off for 5 minutes or so, than just cuts right out. Have tried it a few times, on both settings, and only regular light (No drifting) seems to work for the few minutes I tried that. Far too pricey for a regular bulb, and not doing what it's supposed to, so very unhappy with my purchase. And video won't load, so will try again later.

Doesn't work as described.
Doesn't work as described. Light stays on and then randomly turns off- there isn't a gradual fade. Not worth the money.

Harsher light than I expected
First impressions are that the light is harsher and cooler than I expected. It replaced a 40W incandescent which had a nicer, warmer light output. It seems to put out a little bit more light than that bulb did.I was expecting the light to be warmer since the makers claim to use a filter to remove some of the blue light that keeps you awake. I'm not able to properly test if there is less blue light being emitted from this bulb, so i have to trust them on that. But using a DVD to diffract the light into its constituent colours I can see there is still plenty of blue light coming from this bulb. The sunset function is nothing new as I already have a Lumie alarm clock with that function. All the functions worked as expected. If manufacturers make claims of reduced blue light output then the least they can do is back up those claims with evidence. They haven't done that with this product, neither here nor on their website. In the end I returned it as I wasn't convinced it had any less blue light than an ordinary incandescent bulb. I purchased blue light blocking glasses instead which I am very happy with (see my review).

The idea is nice, but the problem is that the product stopped to work after a few days.

May help with Alzheimers
Well manufactured lamp. The light colour is very good, better than most LEDs in my experience. It really does dim and turn off after 37 minutes.I bought this for my Mother who has quite advanced Alzheimer's. She is not fully aware what time of day it is. Often she will want the light left on when she turns in. We're hoping that with this bulb dimming and turning itself off, she may find it easier to get to sleep. It would be great if the default mode was for the light to dim itself - in normal operation it functions as any other bulb and you need to switch it off. We'd really like this to be a little less bright too.All in all, a very innovative product. I couldn't find anything else like it.
