Dragon Tech WS-100 - Z-Wave Plus - Wall Mount On/Off Switch

Same size and shape as the GE z-wave switch it replaced. Worked well with SmartThings but like other reviewers I had a problem with it turning itself off after about 30 seconds. My wife would play with it for 20 minutes before it would finally stay on.

Same issue as others -- turns off immediately after being turned on.

I really want to like these switches, I've bought quite a few of them. Unfortunately, they have an annoying habit of turning off and then back on again inexplicably. Finding updated firmware for these switches is really quite impossible. The manufacturer provides these as a white label product that Homeseer resells under their own brand, and it appears that the manufacturer has provided updated firmware files to Homeseer, so I know firmware is available for them. Homeseer has locked the firmware so it will only upgrade their rebranded version of the switch, and the manufacturer provides no other distribution outlet for the firmware for their other customers who purchase these switches. Given the lack of support the manufacturer has shown to their customers I cannot recommend purchasing any Dragon Tech product, which is a shame as the build quality is very good overall.

I have four of these switches, and while I like the aesthetic and smaller light, they don't seem to work as a basic switch. On two circuits where I'm driving LED lights, I'll turn the switch on, and it turns itself off instantly. Really annoying. It's an intermittent problem too, making it difficult to diagnose. The other issue is that these switches make an audible "click" of the relay as they turn on and off. I prefer Dragon Tech's dimmers. Those seem to work fine and without the click.

I have many type and brand of smart switches and this is worst than the random lost connection of GE switches. Just like all the other reviewers stated. The switch would switch off the first couple of initial on unless you hold the on position for a couple of seconds. Of course this review is for the first gen switch so hopefully they fixed that annoying problem.
