Jurassic Ginkgo | Tree Seed Grow Kit | The Jonsteen Company

Came quickly with all of the necessary parts. Currently refrigerating the seeds. However, this company went above and beyond for me after I ordered a seedling. I changed my mind to a grow kit, and the order for the seedling was cancelled. To my surprise, I received both the seedling and the seed kit. Thank you, Jonsteen Co.

First, the return policy is ridiculous considering how long these seeds have to sit in a refrigerator before you even know if they'll sprout. Also, paying for the return of said products for a replacement (~50% of purchase price) is arcane and laughable given the ecommerce landscape. I've stated it elsewhere on Jonsteen's storefront, but the idea of these kits is great and in theory they would be a great gift, but quality control is lacking and in the long run you are better off finding a pack of seeds elsewhere. Speaking of saplings - I will say that the saplings i've bought from Jonsteen this season have done great... so far.

My seeds didn't grow and I followed the drections

So far we are 1/2 way through the process in the kit. Highly recommend!

After following the directions and waiting two months for this to sprout, my seed looks exactly the same as it did when I opened it. I’m disappointed because I love Ginkgo trees and was told this was the best way to grow my own.

The kit arrived quickly and safely. The instructions are easy to follow, however you’ll only receive two ginkgo seeds, so I’m hoping they have a high germination rate. You’re instructed to, after placing the soil into the mini greenhouse, saturating it, placing the seeds in the center of the greenhouse, evenly pouring the perlite over them and closing the greenhouse, put the greenhouse in the refrigerator for twenty days to mimic wintertime for the seeds. After that time span, you take them out and place them in a warm, sunlit windowsill, in which they should sprout within 15-45 days. I’ll try to remember to update my review with more pictures if/when they sprout. :)

We received two seeds. When soaking in the water one was floating on the surface. Did everything exactly how the instruction said. But the seeds did not germinate.
