Good spindle
Great for beginners the bowl makes it easier to control the spindle. I don't know much about wood types but it seems to be a good weighted wood. If you are looking for a larger spindle this one is not that big.

The spindle arrived damaged
The tip was bend. The manufacturer offer me a replacement but have no news since then. I must say that it was not sent by Amazon.
