I am hooked on this paint now. I was a bit surprised because the can is small. After using it I realized you do not need a huge can. This is a high quality product. I was amazed at the coverage. It dries with full coverage. It is a very matte finish which is beautiful. The texture is great. It is not high gloss which is what I was looking for. I am obsessed with this. I got it to paint a metal table and it looks so nice I keep using it. I’ve used it on metal stool legs and drawer pulls. This is now my go to product. I used antique gold and the color is perfect it is not brassy and looks classy

The paint is sheer and requires layering, something one can control. I liked the sheerness and color. It’s not gold-leafing, by far, but it’s got some qualities I liked for my projects.

Best paint for certain projects! Goes on smooth, and covers in 1-2 coats! Used on an old bathroom faucet and still hasn’t chipped, easy solution for quick updating of fixtures! Small container but a little goes a long way! Price point was very fare considering the small amount needed to cover.

This was my first experience with chalk paint. Painted (Licorice color) over a polyurethaned kitchen table. Didn't sand...just cleaned thoroughly & painted. Found out the importance of a high quality, natural bristle brush by trial & error... very frustrating. First coat was badly streaked, but 2nd coat with good brush did a great job of covering the streaks. I preferred the paint to be slightly thinner so added a bit of water. Dries VERY fast so move quickly to keep a wet edge. The other (simultaneous) project was a cherry wood cabinet (using the same can of paint)that had been finished with linseed oil years ago. It needed 3 coats bc reddish color of the wood kept bleeding through. The final result was very pretty, but a lot of work. I still have about 1/2 a can of paint left! Going to refinish a windsor-style bench next. All in all I would highly recommend this product. While it was so much easier than regular paint, it was still a lot of work but worth it in the end.

I am in love with chalk paint due to the aged look it produces and I purchased white and black chalk paint from other brand to paint 2 dressers, further mixing it to achieve the degrade grey: that paint was thick like marmelade, achieved great coverage in one coat (for black; white needed 3 layers) besides getting 1 litre for under 20 USD. This Shabby chic paint by contrast is simply terrible. I purchased white, black, silver and gold, each for just under 20 USD for 250ml - terrible value for money. Not only that: - the paint is like water (shake the can to hear how water thin it is if you are going to buy it) - the paint is at the bottom of the tin and even when shaking the tin many times, the paint was still very thin - this paint smells stronger than other brands of chalk paint I used. - I tried to use the silver paint to paint the lines on this dresser and I had to apply it so many times due to being so waterish; on black it looks a bit better but on the white side of the dresser if just terrible. The silver paint leaves some streaks and lines and when removing the tape to achieve the straight lines, some of the paint was taken with the tape. This never happened with other chalk paint brands. Reading the huge percentage of positive reviews, I conclude the Shabby Chic factory standards dropped. Thankfully the Amazon customer service was amazing due to our Prime membership.

Works really well- a true metallic with a great sheen! I am including a picture of my current project- the bottom drawer is actual metallic wallpaper, vs the top drawer which is painted with this paint. I still need to lightly sand and do another coat, but the two drawers blend almost perfectly in color and shine! I did use 3 coats of primer first. The paint is quite thin, and the wood that I was covering was quite dark, so it took about 4 coats- but it turned out better than other metallic paints that I have used, which have ended up more “grey and shimmery” than true metallic. Because it’s on the thinner side, it drips very easily, so more thin coats is better. But a little goes a long way! I still have more than half a can left after painting my whole vanity!

Being as pricy as it is for such a little can, you would think that the coverage would be phenomenal, but it absolutely is NOT. I used the gold paint for the jamb of entry into my small hall area and I can’t even tell you how many coats it took to give it any sort of coverage. And I still have some streaks in bottom area where I finally just gave up, I tried to show this in the photo, but it doesn’t show through very well. I painted the entryway jamb about a year ago and have had to touch up scratches that I can’t even fathom how they got there. Not to mention the odor. This paint stinks bad. I LOVE the gold color, but there’s no way I would use this on any surface again based on what it pain it was to get any coverage last time. It’s also so watery thin that application is extremely difficult. The color and shimmer are hard to beat, though.

Che dire non sono un'esperta ma ho tinteggiato un mobile e devo dire che ' e' fantastica ,molto coprente non puzza e puo' essere utilizzata anche dai meno esperti .A differenza di molti che hanno avuto problemi con l'imballaggio a me e' arrivata perfetta il tappo bloccato con 4 graffette .devo dire ottimo acquisto .lo consiglio a chi deve fare piccoli lavori ma anche lavori piu grandi perche 'la resa e' ottima.

Sin lugar a dudas la mejor pintura a la tiza que he probado,lo he utilizado para pintar unas puertas,y ahora he vuelto a repetir para pintar un mueble,se aplica super bien,cubre un monton y menos espesa que otras marcas que dejan la marca de las pinceladas,la doy un 10.

Die Kreidefarbe Baby rosa kommt ganz weiß raus, auf Stein getestet! Andere Untergründe ebenso in weiß! Ändert sich auch nach Trocknung nicht!! Was können sie mir für eine Lösung anbieten?
