This book gives me whiplash. First Jimmy talks crap about Cody in the beginning about he is nothing and never will be, he treats Macy horribly, and he even talks about taking over the club and reversing all of what Dax has done for the better. Then all of a sudden he loves Macy, wants to be friends with Cody again, and respects Dax. It's all bs. It feels like he was originally supposed to be the antagonist in this book but half way through the author decided to write a different book.

This is the second book in the Southside Skulls MC series. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. There's action, adventure drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, humor, mystery/secrets, surprises, family, anger, fear, pain, friends/friendships, conflict, resolution, confusion, confidence, strength, courage, trust, truths, stubbornness, struggles, protection, tension, arrogance, doubts, turmoil (emotional), annoyance, tragedy, abuse, murder, neglect, misunderstandings, revenge/vengeance, hope/hopelessness, deceit, trials/tribulations, complications, redemption, consequences, dedication, loyalty, revelations, desperation, happiness, romance, passion/lust and love.This is a story about how a lost soul (H) coming home from prison is trying to adjust to a different lifestyle that has changed completely since he was gone.Read to find out what happens. This series will have you on the edge of your proverbial seat and then will whip you as you read! I totally adore this author! With every story within this series she gets better and better and that is not to say she skimps on her characters because SHE DOES NOT! Every guy we meet adds to the cautiously guarded crew of the Southside Skulls MC! Every one of them is cunning and cautious but they are loyal and covetous. They protect their own and heaven help whomever gets in the way of what and whom they favor. One of the best MC series I have read! Oh you might find that some are not easily taken but remember these are men whom you would want on your side if your ever in need. This is the 2nd edition to this book and it is NOT one to be MISSED! I absolutely love this series. I stumbled on it from a blog I follow and let me tel you that I haven't looked back. These books can be read as standalones but I do have to say stop and get Dax. You won't be disappointed. This is a new mc world for me. Its so unique and is a nitty gritty world. Loved ever minute of Cody. He went into prison at a young age for revenge. He comes out a different man to a different world. His best friend and his girl are hiding a big secret. All the while he still has some unfinished business that the Skulls need to know about. Dax stepped up for Cody in a way only a real man can. !y heart just over flowered with emotions. They had a connection that stayed strong will he got out of prison. I love Dax from his book but Cody has a special place in my heart. I wanted to beat up Macy and Jimmy like okay I get the connection they felt but come on why can't you have waited. Then Harley what a Woman. She was perfect the goings ons in the club made for some great action. I am a Southside Skulls girl for life.

Cody is the 2nd book in the Southside Skulls MC series.I really enjoyed reading this book.The story was full of action and very well written.The couple had amazing chemistry.I would recommend this series to anyonewho reads this genre.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Jessie Cooke is absolutely the best! I love her Southside Skulls MC series and Cody has always been one of my favorites. This reworking of the original story is fabulous! The bones of story are the same but we get more of Cody and Macy’s story, it’s perfect! Cody spent 6 years in jail and was released to Daz who was president of the Southside Skulls m c. Since he was a young boy he dreamed of becoming a patched member of the club. He had a crummy life growing up his brother was killed because he couldn't pay off his father's debts fast enough. As teenagers Cody and Macy were first loves but while he was in prison she took up with his best friend Jimmy. Can't say much more due to spoilers.

These books are brilliant reading. They are fast paced and the story just pulls you in and keeps you turning the pages desperate to find out what happens.

This second story in the Southside Skulls MC was nowhere as good as the earlier book Dax which was, for me, a 5 star read. Cody was a difficult character to like and I could not feel any empathy with him; maybe it's because he seems so naive! After 8 years in prison, he still seems like a teenager - suppose that's better than a hardened criminal! If it weren't for Dax & Angel in the story I probably wouldn't have finished this book. Jessie Cooke does write well and the plot was convincing (in the main) but when the main character doesn't jell, it makes the reading experience somewhat strained. I will read the next book in the series - Gunner - I'm sure!

Wow I just love this series, I'm binge reading, love naughty guys who need to grow up & when they do they get the girl . Not everyone wants the good boys. Top read. Onto book 3 now .
