This brush is a little bit on the heavier side, but that is a plus! It helps for better control of the hair when you are drying it. The plastic bristles surrounded by the boar bristles are also a plus because they avoid scratching the scalp and they also help get a tight grip of the hair without hurting yourself. The size and length of the brush is also perfect for medium to long hair. The handle does not have rubber on it, but I did not have any problems with grip. It is actually quite comfortable. My hair is a bit thick and coarse and it gets frizzy easily. This is a good brush to avoid frizz and at a good price. I totally recommend it!
