PANTONE GP1601 Plus Series Formula Guide Coated and Uncoated

The product arrived well protected, in good packaging and just what I had expected. I used to need these on a day-to-day basis in another career and would need new ones every other year, they got used so much. I only need the Pantone guide a few times a year and I expect these two guides to last me a long while.

Supplier: fast shipping and in good condition upon arrival. The Product Itself: Many colours to choose from however the paper the Pantone's are printed on is so thin! When you look to find a colour quickly, you're scared that it's going to rip lol!

Awesome little books. A must have for any screen printer. Will last you years, you don't need to update every time a new book comes out. Newer books just have additional PMS numbers. It is super rare a customer would use a newer Pantone number anyway. Thanks X-Rite!

As a graphic designer, I have no choice but to upgrade my Pantone books periodically. Given the expense, it's probably not as often as I should. This version is the worst I've owned so far. The paper stock is thinner than the ones I've previously owned, prone to tearing at the base of the pages. The colors aren't listed in numerical order as they were in the past meaning I have to look up every. single. color. in the Index to find out where it is in the book. It's massively frustrating to know I'm probably really close to Pantone 540 because it's gotta be in this blue section somewhere! But have to go to the Index every time. The result is, pawing through the book a lot more than necessary which is brutal on this delicate paper stock and causes the colors to actually wear out in streaks and patches after just a couple of months. If they wanted to design the books in such a way as to force regular upgrades, these would be great design decisions. In my work I have to reference the book *constantly* to match Pantone colors for hundreds of licensed logos. I'm not picking it up once or twice a week to select from an array of blue colors. I'm *hourly* trying to find an exact color (or six). Let me tell you, no one gathered at a product review session likes waiting while the designer fumbles trying to find the Pantone colors for "major licensed property". But you have no choice but to buy it, right?

The ability to download the calibration software is touted as part of the package and was a primary motivation for purchase. The reality is that it appears I must spend hundreds of dollars on additional software to actually calibrate the monitor on my laptop. If I am incorrect please explain how I should go about calibrating my monitor or please refund my purchase price...this process now feels like "bait and switch".

The paper stock being used is much thinner than the previous books I have, which I admit are about 3 years old but still, these just seem cheap :(

A great product at a great price. We shopped around before chosing this one and I am glad we did. The quality is as good or better than many that cost much more.

So glad I found this here, I needed this in Thailand and the cost was almost double there. Good quality and will do the job for us in the printing dept.

Endlich für C/U bekommen. Leider (mir nicht erklärlich) geht der Fächer pro Ziffer immer bis -98 und folgend beginnt die neue Ziffernreihe bei -01. Beispielsweise wollte ich lt. Fächer wissen, wie sehr die 500 C von meinen Erwartungen abweicht bzw. die passende CMYK Farben bestimmen - bei den Fächern C/U gibt es aber nur die Reihe bis 498 C und beginnt dann wieder bei 501 C. Mir ist nicht bekannt, dass es sich um eine erweiterte / besondere Farbe handeln würde, die nur auf anderen Fächern erschlossen sein würde. Ansonsten bin ich relativ zufrieden. / wobei die CMYK-werte lt. Pantone-Site und meinem Fächer je Farbe sehr voneinander weichen (für die gleiche Pantone-Farbe).

Prodotto perfetto, come da descrizione. Consigliato soprattutto per chi ha necessità di un campionario molto completo da portare con se sempre. Spedizione tempestiva! Consigliato
