Secure fit on glasses and able to size to fit
I generally wear cheap $5 sunglasses while fishing or working outside, but I frequently need my magnifying "readers", too. It's a hassle carrying both pair and switching back and forth. I purchased this retainer because I finally bought an expensive pair of prescription sunglasses to solve my frustrations. Not wanting to take a chance on losing them (especially in the lake), I researched eyeglass retainers until I determined that Croakies seemed to have the best features and the most satisfied customers overall. My wife also bought a pair of Croakies retainers for her prescription sunglasses, but in the smaller "microsuit" size.Overall, these fit my new sunglasses very well and seem to stay well-secured to the frame. I don't believe there's any way they will allow the glasses to fall or be lost. The ability to size the retainer allows me flexibility in how close the glasses fit on my face as well as how far they hang down on my chest. I have a large neck (18-1/2 shirt) and was concerned the retainer might not be long enough to hang down very far on my chest. That hasn't been the case. The length is comfortable for me.I'm very pleased with the quality of the product, as is my wife with her Croakies. They are made to lastWe also purchased the "Croakies ARC Eyewear Float Kit" (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007S3KOOE?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4), but haven't tried those out yet.

nice
A lot thicker than I thought but really nice and seems to really sturdy. I bought this for my husband so he would not loose his reading/work glasses. Lets hope this solves the problem.

works great!
I needed something to hold my dental loupes on my head during procedures. The straps sold with the loupes themselves are made with rubber tips, over time, especially when putting them away for the day and bending them, the plastic always wears and breaks and no amount of wire or super glue keeps them in place. I finally tried something different. I did away with the rubber tips and tried these. Now I was a little paranoid at first, especially since they didn't fit down near as far as the discarded rubber ones on my frames, I thought they were going to fall off of my head and bonk my patient in the face, but no! These are great! I take them on and off several times a day and the tightening ball works well to keep them snugly on my head. When I fold my loupes at the end of the day and put them away I have no stress on any rubber anywhere, just on fabric, so I hope these last me a long time, so far I am quite pleased and I see no reason to ever go back to the manufacturers recommendation for my loupes.

Reliable, washable, adjustable glasses strap.
I'm an outdoor enthusiast and need something to secure my prescription sunglasses. I've had Croakies for years, and only replace them when they finally wear out. Once on your glasses, they won't slip off. The adjustment slider is easy to use, and stays put. Plus you can wash them to keep them looking new.

They work great for medium frames.
I bought these for a pair of Hobie Cabo Sunglasses and they fit them perfectly. They hold my glasses securely and provide a bit of padding that makes them even more comfortable to wear. As other reviewers have said, they won't work for wire rimmed or very large frames, but for medium sized frames they work great.

I have a small head, so glasses tend to not fit well. I bought these hoping they would do the trick and they are perfect.

pricey but good
holds even leaded goggles securely. no more slips... problem is that the price is ridiculous for the item. it probably costs less than 30 cents to make the parts and assemble... it serves the purpose, but should be a 99 cent item.
