Great for card game players
This is the last one we needed to complete our set. Can't wait to play this one too.

The Worldwound invasion is here. It's time to become a hero of myth.
The strategy card game tie-in with Paizo's runaway hit Pathfinder tabletop RPG is back and it's not taking any crap. The big boxed sets for the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game have been consistently good and worth the asking price. Now they are committing the bold move of adapting their popular Wrath Of The Righteous adventure into card game form. But how can they do that, you might ask. Doesn't Wrath Of The Righteous make heavy use of Mythic Powers? Well, you will be pleased to know that the card game has fearlessly adapted those game-breaking powers, letting your card game characters hit just as hard as their RPG counterparts. The Mythic mechanics are very simple and actually not overpowered at all. Each mythic path gives a character access to a twenty-sided dice - heretofore unused in the card game - along with some other accompanying power. But as in the RPG, you only get a certain number of Mythic charges per game and they are rarely reacquired - use them wisely! Storywise, this is a faithful retelling of the demonic invasion of the doomed city of Drezen, where heroes must rise to drive the hordes of evil back into the Worldwound. An oft-cited complaint about this box is that the "introductory" adventures are harder than all the "hard" adventures that come after. This is unfortunately true. If you are brand-new to the card game, you might want to try one of the earlier releases instead before moving on to Wrath, as the sheer challenge level of the first few adventures can overwhelm and discourage a new player. The adventure path is worth playing through, however. Once the difficulty level plateaus, this becomes a story with big payoffs that is a lot of fun to boot.

Fun, engaging, ADDICTIVE...
A friend of mine has darn near every card ever made available for PACG. We've been plugging through Rise of the Runelords for a little while, and I've enjoyed it. I joined the Pathfinder Society Adventure Card Guild and had a blast playing at GenCon 2015. Then, I picked up my first base set (Wrath of the Righteous). Dear. God. This is SUCH an addictive game. My girlfriend and I play it every chance we get now. I'm sure the shine will eventually wear off, but right now, it's seriously cutting into our sleep time. Be warned...

Great game, I've played through the whole game twice (all adventures)
Great game, most difficult of the 3 as you can fine tune the difficulty using less mythic charges (major new feature of the game). There is also a hard mode ending to the game, which is also fun and adds a little more difficulty to the game. My friends and I play with the separate class decks and use some of the more difficult players to add even more difficulty/replay-ability to the game. I like this game over playing the RPG as this is streamlined and keeps everyone focused on all the different goals of the game.

Very glad, it's an awesome game
Having finished Skulls and Shackles, we were looking to get the original base set but happened to some across this instead. Very glad, it's an awesome game. Delivery arrived very quickly and we have since got all the adventure packs and character add on.

Great if you note the errata from the designers of the game
This game was made too hard by design, and rule adjustments have been recommended by the designers (can be found on BGG). I'd recommend starting with a different base as a first timer to save you the hassle.

Excellent base set. Difficult game but a lot of fun.
Awesome, albeit difficult game. A lot of fun, and will probably encourage you to continue the storyline with purchase of extra adventure decks (2 to 6) and possibly the character expansion pack (extend playability to 5-6 players). I already own deck 2, planning on getting decks 3 to 6 and character expansion pack. I played several scenarios from base sets 1 and 2 (this being 3rd), and difficulty seems highest here, but this set is also the most interesting to me. My friends and I played for several weeks so far. Everyone liked it.
