The only little thing that you want to heat up/ warmup/ thaw quickly
Very good microwave for the price. Working well. Bought this some time ago. Heats up well. Not as good as we had Panasonic microwave earlier but went kaput and hence this. Does the job very well. Time is a tad bit faster than normal but you can live with it - not a biggie! Fast cook times are bonus!. Panasonic didn't have single buttons start for 30 seconds and that's so good and you can do in multiples of 30 secs. For all others you can do directly for max upto 6 minutes! Brilliant for that. Big dinner plates fit in good and easy to put in take out. Looks good on our kitchen top. Resilient and durable. Seems to cook for all types food- from frozen to just a little warmup! You can adjust the power levels but we just leave it on 10 and it's easy to put it on the highest level. Top marks for this. --- till now. Will come to know about the service part when something goes wrong 😜

Item was good, reviews confusing
So, the item in question was a microwave, plain and simple. It heats things up.As it has only just arrived, it is hard to say more. My problem is more with the way the review, and the description part of Amazon works. It is classed as a favourite in stainless steel microwaves. But only the front of the door is stainless steel. I was not happy about that.Others commented that the heating element was exposed..... Mine does not have a heating element, so therefore is not a grilling version.Others said there was no manual, but there was.So having got the rant out of the way, my last microwave was a Sharp, and it died, so anything that arrived was going to be better. The downside was not knowing what was arriving.... Did it have a grill? Was it an enamel interior? What was coming? To the item that arrived was an 800w microwave with a manual. It is a clear and concise operator's manual. Setting the clock (12hr, not 24hr) took less than 30 seconds. It works, but rather than being stainless steel, it has a veneer on the front, and the rest is painted/enameled.No grilling element. But it works, it looks nice, and after all it is a Toshiba. So as far as the purchase is concerned, 5*As far as the information given to allow me to make an informed choice..... I would have to try and find a negative status. That is a fault of Amazon, not Toshiba. But I am overall happy with the price. It is more indicative of a non grill microwave. I am upset that it is not internally stainless steel, but my enamelled sharp has lasted a few years, so I expect at least as long a life from this.If it blows up, or burns my house down over time, or causes me to grow an extra head, I shall adjust my review accordingly 😂

Smashing little pop de ping
So the last microwave we'd had for years. I'm not sure we ever really cleaned it properly as it dawned on me it was utterly revolting and beyond saving. So, that went in the bin. Didn't want to spend a fortune, don't think you should have to for such a cooking toolTurns out you don't. This wasn't the cheapest but was well down there. It's so far so good. Heats stuff. On time. So that's good. It's pretty light weight so I got in unpacked and up on a shelf in the garage pretty easily. It seems to work well. Timer is fine, heat level.is fine, and not overly noisy. The light inside with the door shut is dim so you can't really see what's going on in there, but it's pretty obvious it's getting warm; or hot depending what you chose. I have no complaints so far. You can gwt enough in there so good capacity. I mean who wants to put a whole chiken in there, if you do, don't bother with this one it's not that big. It sits nice on the side and ain't gonna wobble. Makes a sweet ping when it's done. Yep, so, all in all, good value, works well, looks fine. Decent overall pop de ping.UPDATE: really happy after a few weeks of use of this. The controls work perfectly well, the ping at the end is pretty loud. I'm liking it.FURTHER UPDATE: absolutely no issues what so ever with this microwave this has been a great purchase and still working perfectly. Very happy with it still.

Nicely compact but probably unsuitable for those with hand/eye problems
The TOSHIBA 20 Liter 800W Manual Control Solo Small Microwave, Compact with 5 Power Level is nearly two months old now so review time. The microwave is compact and takes up less space then previous ones i bought did. If you look at the measurements, its only a centimetre here or there but that does make a big difference if you are space limited. This was one of the requirements I was looking for.It is a manual microwave which makes it simple to use. It heats up items well and so far functions well. It takes the microwave dishes I use. So far, the largest used is the sistema round microwave container 1.3 lits. L 233 mm x H 80 mm x W 210 mm.ConsIt has difficulty in maintaining the plate rotation when popping microwave popcorn bags as they keep getting caught on the interior. You can pop the bags in this microwave but definitely stay aware. As said in previous reviews, the labelling for the timer is very odd in the font and colouring they chose and so can be difficult to see.In addition, the knob handle for the timer is difficult to grasp as it is narrower than on other models in my opinion. I use a small cloth or kitchen paper to help turn it sometimes.

Easy fast effective
Easy to operate. Fast and effective. Fits a dinner plate which was the essential requirementDidn’t need anything fancy just a ping cook/ reheat job and this sits neatly on the worktop.
