31177ARM Laptop Security Stand - (Arm Mount Not Included)

Laptop can be mounted in this holder without being attached to a desk or solid surface. It will be very cumbersome if your intentions are to use it like this as it will be very awkward. It is designed to be mounted on a solid surface. The laptop can also be removed if the solid surface is not protecting the security screws on the bottom.

There are 2 screw hole patterns in the bottom. One of them is 75mm X 75mm. It is not VESA because it takes 10-32 screws, not M4. The other is apparently 6.75" X 4.5", also 10-32 screws.

This is a really sturdy construction made out of steel. In the past I bought one out of a luminum that could be pride open so easily. This is the real thing, the shipping was fast and it arrived as described.Installation took about 20 minutes but was definitely worth it. I like the 2 key system, Super secure.I looked everywhere on the Web I could not find a more sturdy Older than this one. A 100 bucks is not cheap but definitely worth it. I would recommend this product. I wish they had also other colours.

I have students coming in and out of my office. Many times my beloved mac was dropped or 'borrowed' without my permission.I did not buy this enclosure here, but I found the instructional video for it on this page.The enclosure is being taped to the desk with an industrial double sided tape. It is impossible to un-glue. My husband helped with installation and now it is set for good. To take it home I go in the back and unlock it. Takes a minute since there are 2 keys. I wish the unlocking was a bit faster.Still, I recommend it for anyone who loves their laptop.
