Shoe Deodorizer - Eliminates Smelly Odor From Shoes, Gloves, Pads - Great for Gear You Can't Put in A Washing Machine

I don't usually write reviews but this time I had too! This machine is incredible. I'm not kidding. I know it seems a little pricey for what it is BUT.... If you have struggled with the embarrassment of stinky shoes for a long time and tried EVERYTHING else and nothing works you will invest in this. I tried it the first time a few days ago. It is very simple and it takes about 3 hours if shoes are dry. Its light weight and holds 1 pair at a time.At the end of the cycle, when you open and sniff you will be amazed. I'm not sure how long the new smell will last but its easy enough to just put them every night if necessary. It makes zero noise, and emits a bit of a strange odor, but when your shoes come out germ & stink free you won't complain. This is a great purchase and use of my money. Something that actually WORKS!

This product looks nice and claims to disinfect and deodorize shoes. I'm happy with the ozone disinfection as it prevents odor from forming in my athletic shoes, however, do not expect this machine to deodorize shoes that are already very stinky. It will not. About six months after I started using the Stinkboss, the bearings in one of the fans went out and it grinds very loudly when in operation. I suspect the issue is related to the cheep sleeve bearings used in the fans (as pointed out by other reviewers). I will attempt to fix the issue on my own as returning the product will cost much more. Unless you are looking for a project and are good with a soldering iron, I would not recommend purchasing this product.

If you can think of a bigger turn off for consumers than buying a product and have a big box with "Stink Boss" written in big letters delivered to your doorstep or apartment building lobby, please let me know. Receiving a package with a name like this from your doorman is nothing shorter than public humiliation. What were these people thinking? Having the "De-Stink" light flashing the warning symbol for Radiation just adds up to the humiliation package. If you want to sell units, name it differently. Bulky as heck, btw. Instead of spending money on a gigantic, self-adhesive colorful quick start guide that nobody will ever stick to a wall, make the machine shutoff when the lid is open. Make sense, huh? By the way, it really works. I mean... really works. Even old stinky shoes smell really clean.

Second Stink Boss but now the timer broke after 6 months and product does not work. Sent a message to Stink Boss, let’s see their response / resolve.

I gave it a high scent rating because ozone is better than fourteen-month-foul-foot-funk that was festering in my fabulous work shoes. The smell could not be covered or removed in certain environments. This meant that probably about $1000 worth of products and replacement shoes late, I bought this. And finally, this week, for the first time I can think of outside of the first two or three days of brand new shoes, my feet didn't stink up the place. It took about 3 - 4 days of using it on full blast for 3 to 6 hours a time, twice a day, to de-funk these things, but, it did what absolutely nothing else could do. If it doesn't burn out in 6 months, I'll be in love for life.

I ordered the Stinkboss to help keep my shoes fresh. I have used UV sterilizers in the past and was looking to try something different. I ordered it using prime so delivery was quick(Amazon rocks!).The product is large, but very light and can easily be carried around to wherever you need it. The device is nice looking, exactly as shown in the pictures and about the size to be expected. One downfall is the product is kind of flimsy, you get an overall feeling of having to be very gentle when using it. Not what I was expecting at this price point. It has a lid with a black button on the front to push to unlock and open it, but the locking mechanism doesn't work. The lid will not lock shut. You can just lift it open without pushing the black button to unlock it. Feels like it should lock, but parts are off by a mm or two due to material quality.Because the plastic construction is thin, sometimes when you push a button on the front to set the device the lid pops open(since it doesn't lock), so you have to keep closing the lid as you push the buttons. When you choose the no heat button, by default it automatically reduces your time setting to half of what you originally set it at. So the longest time setting using heat is 6 hours, but if you choose not to use heat, the default setting will cut your time in half to 3 hours. Not sure if this is purposeful design or if my device is not functioning correctly, seems like using heat would reduce the run time, not require longer. So if you don't plan on using heat, enter twice the amount of time you actually want to run it before pushing "no heat", and if you want to run it for the 6 hour max time, you will have to set it and run it twice.I saw reviews that complained about the noise level of the device. I find the product to be very quite, no louder than a small fan. With ambient noise in the room I had to put my ear next to the device to be able to hear if it was actually running or not.There is a hole in top rear of the product that is covered with a white felt like material. This allows the ozone smell to come out of the machine while running. My nose does not work well and the smell is noticeably strong and quickly filled up a 12x15 bedroom. So you may want to run it in a garage or area with really good ventilation or leave whatever room you run it in.Overall for the price point the build quality is a little dissappointing (and more expensive than competitor products, although competitor products are not enclosed), leaving me feel a little jipped. The amount of ozone/smell that comes out of the machine when running is quite a bit more than expected, little uncomfortable with running it and breathing it in. I will save final judgment and update with how well the device actually works after running it with a pair of shoes before deciding whether I would purchase again or recommend to a friend.Update: 7/28 - Due to the amount of ozone that was released when running the machine and the cheap build quality, I ended up returning the product. Kudos to amazon on their amazing customer service.

It definitely helps w the odor of the shoes but makes the rest of the house stink. It also has an extremely disturbing loud beep when it turns off. The first time it went off we all thought it was the fire alarm. The beeping cannot be turned off. I would only recommend if you cou put it in a detached garage.

I have some Dansko shoes that I wear in the operating room all day, often for 12+ hour days, or on overnight calls, so I am in them a long time. They don't breath, so they started to stink. After about a year they were unwearable. I used the stink boss on them, and it completely took it away. Now i throw my shoes on there once or twice a week for an hour and a half or so, and they no longer stink at all.While it's off label, I throw work out clothes in there too. Seems that it works pretty well.
