Café Royal Cocktail Book

Sophisticated but not avant-garde
Okay, so we've barely scratched the surface here, but just about every recipe we've tried has been a success. Classic, palatable. I'm not a fan of the au currant bitter/smokey trends, but today's boutique liqueurs and aperitifs (I'm looking at you Tempus Fugit) really shine here and raise the quality of those old school concoctions.

A Classic. Buy a copy immediately.
This is a great reprint of the original. Original copies are very hard to come by, and cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Incredible luck that this rare cocktail book is available at a reasonable cost. Full of recipes, an absolute MUST for anyone who is serious about real cocktails. Buy a copy immediately, because who knows how long this reprint will be available. In fact, buy 2 just in case. I did.

Little gem
I bought it for a birthday present. It isn't like your usual trashy cocktail books. Its history gives it a sense of sophistication. Cocktails are good too.

cocktails to try
I bought this book to refresh my son-in-laws cocktail repertoire....he now loves trying to impress his friends...especially during the hot summer...
