Nice decora piece during daylight only
Purchased this light knowing that I wasn’t going to illuminate a large area, it was for a decorative glow on the backside of my shed. The first night I installed it, the light was on from dusk until around midnight! That was great! A dim light disbursement and a simple little accent touch to the garden and shed, exactly what I wanted. However, the following night the light turned on at dusk, and was on for less than an hour... much the same every nigh there after (even though the light has 10-12 hrs of full unobstructed southern sun light every day!)... to make matters worse, the light is in NO WAY water tight, after every rain the “lamp” fills with water, and further reduces the light.The ONLY reason this lamp gets 2 stars as opposed to one, was that it was relatively inexpensive, and still looks nice as a decorative piece during daylight hours. But as far as a solar light... TRASH!

Not impressed!
I am totally NOT impressed. While they truly do look "antique" and are a snap to install, there brightness of lite is absurd. They are so dim that you can tell that they are on and that is all. This is true on 3 separate units, in full unobstructed sunlight for sunrise to sunset.

These are so easy to put in a place where you need light. Live the rustic look, too!
This is the second one I have bought. I put them on the outside of my chicken coop and they work great. Once the sun goes down they light up the entrance and the back exterior of the coop so I can see and also to deter predators. They work great - could be a bit brighter, but I'm not complaining.

Authentic looking rural decor
The lamp is exactly as it appears - an authentic feeling decor item for the back yard - we installed ours on trees around our pond. They do not cast much light at night - we can see them from the house, but that's about it. We weren't looking for a light source as much as the addition of a functional item that invokes a farm-like atmosphere! These lamps do the trick!

Cute
I love this - it was perfect for what I needed and love the retro look. The light is not bright but I didn't want it to be. We do a lot of star watching and this light has an yellowish bulb and does not mess with our "night eyes". Perfect for my garden porch and the look I wanted!

Disappointed...but I do like. them
They are nice and look good. I use the on both sides of my stairway to the pool, they are not as bright as I wanted.

Failed led in install
We bought 3 lights. I like the look and the lower level of illumination. 1 light did not light up if the 3. I removed the bulb and noticed I can’t replace the bulb with a standard LED bulb. The wire connection is very short so if I get a replacement event I don’t know if I can reconnect it. I don’t know where to get a specialized bulb either. Nate [email protected]
