Harry and David 16-Ounce Jar Candle, Large, Lemon Bar

This candle will fill your entire house with the delicious smell of lemon cookies. YUMMY! The price here is a bit high as you can sometimes find this product at TJ Maxx for less.

The smell of this candle is cloying and overwhelming--it gave me a headache. I was also disappointed in the way the candle burned. I always keep jar candles burning a long time so the wax completely melts across the top so the candle burns down evenly, but this one made two holes where the wicks were and ate into the candle, leaving about half the candle unmelted and unused (which I guess is a blessing, since it didn't smell good in the first place). At least the jar is pretty.

There should be an option for products you would have given 5 stars before but now, well, less. This used the be my favorite candle. I think they changed something. It used to melt evenly across the top until there was barely a layer at the bottom and the wax was 99% gone. Now, it just burns a hole down the center. The scent remains incredible. I have allergies to many artificially scented items but this one spares me the migraine. Kroger used to sell this but I can't find it there now. I can't find it on the Harry and Davids site either. Looks like the price went up from $11 to the mid 20s. Pretty expensive. Maybe it's because it's the last ones? I spent a lot of money trying to find the right candle and this one was my go to candle for more than a decade. I'm tempted to by one from here but it looks like I'll need a replacement soon anyway. I'll have to try others again until I find a good one. Suggestions welcome!

I bought two of these for gifts and got good comments from the giftees.

This is my favorite scented candle. Long lasting and pretty powerful without being overwhelmingly scented. It smells like a lemon bar- vanilla, lemon and that "just-baked" scent.

The scent of this candle is delicious but unfortunately the candle does not burn wright. It is a large candle but has only 2 wicks. This is the reason why the candle wax only melts in the very center. This kind of burning creates a deep hole in the center around 2 wicks but the rest of the wax about half or more of it never melts. After a while the candle stop burning and to get the candle burning again you have to dump the melted wax. This happens over and over again. Too expensive for this kind of performance or rather lack of it.

This item made it from Arizona to Indiana in 3 days, standard shipping. Meanwhile, I ordered a smaller package that is shipped from Michigan over a week ago and I'm still waiting on it. As far as the hat goes, it looks even better than it did in the picture. There is a bit of a funny smell to it, but I'm sure it will wear off in a day or so. Extremely satisfied, will order again. Would be willing to pay twice what I did.
