USA Soft Ballpoint Refills to Fit Cross Pens, Medium Point, Turquoise Ink, 2-Pack – Unique and Smooth Writing Performance

Item was exactly what I needed.

Purchased to use as refills for my Cross pens because I wanted to bright purple ink. Not only are these refills compatible, I prefer them to Cross refills as their ink is on the dry side and doesn't deposit well even on high quality paper (in my experience.) I'll be sticking with these going forward.

I use different coloured ball point pens for record keeping. The refills must be the old non-smearing ink, not the gel ink which is currently popular but runs when wet. These are real ball point pen refills snd work very well.

I had ordered package of two and one soon after started leaking and got to light to use. The other one working so far….problem showed itself after 30 days so didn’t bother to return , but sent a text(company’s preferences)describing what happened last week of August and no response so far. I have used the purple ink ones over the years, but past few years stores were out or had the leaky ones. Soooo wish my very special pen could find another company that sells its special refills, but not yet in this universe

The refills (black) I received with my new Cross pen I did not like. They left little smears and somehow accumulated little globs on the point, that I had to periodically wipe off, lest they create a mess. I hate that. Seems like a relic of 20th century ball point technology, something my pens did in grade school.Maybe it was an anomaly, and other Cross refills would be less problematic, but I gave these Monteverde refills a try. I like them. None of the issues I experienced with Cross, did I find in the Monteverde.The only problem with the Monteverde is they sure went dry fast. I went through both refills in 4 months. That makes these refills more expensive than they first appear.

Over the years I have purchased many different refills for my Cross ballpoint pen and most times it is from the manufacturer (Cross) and from time to time these inks don't work or they stop working shortly after changing refills. Many times the store doesn't have the color I want or the point (medium, fine) I am looking for.However- I have found these refills from MONTEVERDE work great, have a great ink viscosity with little to no ink blotching like you get with any ballpoint pen. Here on Amazon you can even select from a very wide range of colors since I personally like to use the purple and brown colors for various forms I fill out.I should also stress that the price here for these refills can't be beat by any other stores and most times you can get 2 inks cheaper then the price of one Cross refill - try it for yourself and see.

Replacement was the dark purple I was looking for! Fit perfectly with my hand lathe custom pen!
