Would make a great college graduation gift!
I bought this book because my son is suddenly traveling a lot for work. He’s not used to going to bars with “business “ people and I thought this might come in handy. I read it first since I had it. I’ve been around enough years to like to think I had a handle on the bar scene, but even I learned some very useful tips. For a new or recent college graduate who suddenly has to start going out to dinners or drinks with clients, this book is a godsend. It can really help them seem much more “in charge “ and give them extra confidence that these new scary situations call for. It can also help keep them from embarrassing mistakes. Just because they went to college bars, doesn’t mean they know what to do. It’s also just a great little tutorial for anybody. You’re never too old to learn something new. Especially if it’s from an experienced insider who has a great knack for keeping it light and fun and interesting.

A great read for those new to the bar seen or veterans!
I truly enjoyed reading this book! It was candid, entertaining, and pretty damn informative. I am no newbie to the bar seen, but even I picked up a few tricks and tips along this read. The author makes this subject fun but was incredibly easy to relate to. I particularly enjoyed his tips on tipping itself. It's good to hear from the other side of the bar. I think that this would be a great gift for someone turning 21 but is a fun and informative read for everyone. Just about every topic regarding a night out is covered. This book covers ways to order drinks, interactions with bartenders, even suggestions for hangovers or if got carried away. All in all, this book is an entertaining read. I genuinely enjoyed this book and I have bought some as gifts.

I hope many people read this!
This is a very practical and to the point guide that gives great insight and perspective into how the bar business works, and how to conduct yourself for the best results. As the author mentions, a lot of the content should be a matter of common sense and basic manners (like taking personal responsibility and not being a self centered douche), but unfortunately those qualities seem to be diminishing. But not to worry, this book contains all the nuggets of info you’ll need to ensure you and your friends receive top notch service, have a great time out time and time again and become a favored regular at your local bar!

Brutal, common sense bar life commentary with a unique hilarity.
Justin Gosnell’s writing style is one of a kind, he’s uses brutal common sense points with unique hilarity, you’ll simultaneously understand the points he’s making in this book while feeling the sting of asking yourself the question “do I do that when I’m out at the bar?” What’s cool about this book is that even though it’s aimed at novices, if you ever considered a career in bartending this book was written by someone who clearly has first hand experience and to me that seems like a treasure trove of valuable information for that career path. Highly recommend and I hope Mr. Gosnell releases more written work.

21 And Up....a great read..
This book is a great read for a newly 21 or newbie to drinking as much as it is informative and interesting for the novice drinker/bar fly. It was fun to read and very helpful. There were tips that I'd never realized were as important to the bartender as they are to the participant! Great book for anyone reaching 21 and heading into the bar scene although not a book that encourages drinking - just explanations of how to be the "cool guy" at the bar.

Very Informative!
This book was a fantastic read! It is full of information that could have made my bar experiences much better had this book existed when I turned 21. You can tell the author has extensive knowledge and expertise in this area. Many people, young and old, think they know exactly how to handle themselves in the bar scene. After reading this book you will. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to better their bar experience. Can't wait to try out my newly acquired skills at my next Happy Hour!
