SL984 Sea Dragon 2000 Photo Underwater Photo/Video Light with Standard Tray

Great!! does exactly what it is supposed to. Took great video with GoPro at 90" on a recent dive. Battery lasted through two 45 minute dives (not always on but nowhere near drained either) Provides enough light (angle) to use a GoPro about 3 ft away from subject and completely light up the visible field. Really brings out the colors that are removed at depth.Would probably look to get the shorter handle for use exclusively with a GoPro.

This is very bright and has excellent runtime given the brightness BUT the modular system sealife came up with means that the components can all be swapped in a few seconds by pushing on the red catch at the base and top of the arm. The issue comes when you are diving and hit that same red catch and watch your light and camera separate themselves. Sealife provides heavy duty rubber bands to go over the catches for sandy conditions but that still didn't seem too secure to me. I ended up using a Stainless cable to run a wire from the eye of the light to the base of the GoPro camera. Adding a secondary safety catch to the quick disassembly catches is a necessary addition. The light gets 5 stars, the handle and its catches get 1. I'd recommend buying the light but making modifications or risk losing your light or camera if you hit one of the catches.

Excellent light. Everyone I dive with is impressed. I bought a second one!

The light is bright enough and lasts for two dives, but the light is too close to the camera I got a lot of back scatter.

Excellent unit, but now has been replaced by a 2500 series.

I have lights more powerful yet wanted for clear open ocean filming. Smaller and lighter and I'll find out strength next time I dive.Overall great product.
