Good neck knife, needs sharpening
In general I like this knife. It fits my hand alright and was reasonably sharp, but I have to sharpen it to get it to a really good cutting stage. The grip fits well and the deep cut out for the index finger makes it secure in my hand. Just needs better sharpening from the factory.

Fred Perrin Neck Bowie....
I believe this knife is the Fred Perrin "Neck Bowie" design as the Perrin "Le Bowie" is a slightly different design. No indication as to where the knife is made. The quality is very good with no visible flaws but I doubt this is a handmade knife or original Perrin. The design of this knife is very good for a neck carry knife. It weighs well under 3 oz including the sheath and lanyard and can be worn under almost any clothing with no visibility since both knife and sheath are very thin. The handle is skeletonized with a deep index finger groove below and a notched spine above. This handle design enables a quick grasp without having to locate holes for the fingers. The blade is very, very sharp! The holes in the handle help to keep the knife from sliding in your hand but are most useful for Paracord wrapping the handle in almost any variation of wrap design. At the $69. price level this knife seems to be a bargain compared to the normal prices for Perrin knives, but I sure would like to know where it is made.
