The pull cable is really well built and is very sturdy, so it doesn't seem like it will break easily. The only con to it is that the mount is right next to the handle, so I wasn't able to have any wiggle room or play with the handle when I was mounting the cable to my recliner. Still worth the purchase though.

Got the product in 2 day, took 5 minutes to replace cable (no cutting or other mods needed) and saved lots of money. The handle is actually nicer than the original. This was on a Lane couch. The other couch we have is wearing out the pull, so we will probably be ordering another one

Feels better than the original pull our Lane recliner had. Install was probably more complicated due to Lane’s locationing vs this product. Ended up just making new holes. Came with installation screws too.

this has the eye to attach to chair works, I just need to secure it better

This is the second cable I have ordered. Should have ordered 2 the first time, realizing if one chair's broke the other would soon fail also. Not a problem since I received the new cable in just a few days and it is exactly the part I needed.

The product I received is not the product pictured in this listing's images. The one in the images has a black end piece on the plastic shroud that the cable comes out of. Notice in the image that end cap is black? The one I received was metal. At first I did not think anything of this. When I went to install this replacement I realized this is a huge deal and a major issue. The version that was originally installed on the couch has the black plastic end piece. This replacement with it's metal end piece doesn't fit. There is a notch on the end piece that is supposed to clip into a bracket above the recliner's release latch. The bracket holds the cable in place when it's connected to the latch. The metal end piece is too big. It does not latch into the factory bracket like the original piece. I had to break out the dremel and spend a lot of time grinding down the bracket so that this replacement can fit. I had to eventually just give up on this for fear that I will permanently destroy the bracket.This does not fit. The product image shown is not the product you will receive.

I bought this to replace the handle on my Lane Furniture home theater seating. From the moment I opened the package, my first impression was that it was a lackluster product. The plastic parts seem brittle and are not comparable to what Lane uses (or whoever they got their handles from).I attempted to get a side by side photo. *Ignore the previous repair job on the original handle. The only thing that saved me from returning it was what other reviews mentioned, that it sits lower than the original and can't be seen. For this reason, I compensated by installing it on a lower position of the bracket. I didn't want to drill more holes, but now that the job is done, I should have mounted it one inch higher.The install was pretty simple, even though my particular chair required removing one arm. It was 4 bolts and 4 wood screws.My main gripe with this replacement part is the look and feel. The handle is flat out unacceptable. Glossy, sharp edge plastic that came from a cheap mold. The cable is flimsy and seems like it may break soon. There is a chrome clip to solidify the cheap look. I'll update the review if it breaks, but at least my chair is working again. Well that and I did not overpay for the original part.

Installation was easy! And it fit perfect! Two nights ago, the release cable for the Lane recliner in our sectional broke.Ordered a new one on Amazon for $18 yesterday, arrived today, installed tonight. And it works perfect!
