I love the VO5 unscented hairspray and have used it for over 25 years! It's light weight but still holds long curls well without being too stiff. I just can't find it anymore at my local Kroger/Fred Meyer or even Walmart so I have to buy it online - three at a time to save some money. The individual cost online is a bit heftier than I would like ($10+) but it still costs about $21 ($7 each) when bundled. (I used to pay much less than $5 at the store).

As a hair stylist, I can use any top of the line hair spray out there, but I'm telling you this one is great. It doesn't dull the hair, you only need a little, it's still workable, it's unscented, and the cost is less expensive than any discount I can even get as a Professional. all PRO'S no CON'S... I RECOMMEND IT.

First off, I am an older male. I have always used a little hairspray, nothing wrong with that. I used to buy expensive “men’s hairspray” and then realized how stupid that was. So I tried a lot of unscented brands over the years until I tried this VO5 Crystal Clear Unscented. Now that's all I buy, even though it can be hard to find. It’s a super firm hold and it doesn't take much at all. Just a light spray over my semi-bald head. It doesn’t leave a sticky or shiny residue on my forehead and it lasts all day, even when it's a little windy. No nasty sweet perfume fragrance either. Men, you need to try this product.

I have been using this hairspray for years as it is one of a very few that is recommended by my dermatologist (I have serious allergies to many of the chemicals and "fragrances" in other hair products). After replenishing my supply, (as of 06/2019), I was surprised by the very "unpleasant" odor of the spray. It never had any noticeable "scent" previously, but now it is so "stinky" I have to turn on the bathroom fan, hold my breath, spray and leave immediately. Maybe the formula has been changed (this happens all the time), but I did not keep a previous can to compare ingredients. I DO find it both "bothersome" and somewhat "troubling" (what on Earth makes it smell so awful -- like trash!). The product itself seems to hold my hair in place without feeling "crispy" and thankfully, my hair does not seem to smell after I apply the spray. Bottom line ... good product but funky smell.
