There is a definite knack to using correctly. I didn't watch the video, I just popped a blade in & off I went. Cautiously at first finding the right angle to hold it at, applying very light pressure or even none at all, letting the razor do its work under its own weight. I was going great guns & started to speed up thinking I was on a Mach 3 & putting on more pressure. That's when disasters struck, 3 little Knicks in no time. So my advice is take your time, let the razor glide, apply more foam or oil for a second pass & in no time you will get a lovely close shave, whilst doing your bit to save the planet.

I love the mix of wood and the rose gold. It’s really stylish and stands in end on display in my bathroom.I used it tonight for the first time and was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use. I did a full body shave and got zero cuts!I love this razor! It would make a great present. Just don’t forget to buy blades as they are not supplied.I would however say if you are going the eco route to look carefully at the packaging of the blades. I bought DERBY Extra Blades and was shocked how much plastic was used.Desperate to use this razor I kept them but will look for an alternative in time.

Been paying way too much for years on throw away razors, and it was time to change for a more sustainable product.Super happy with this box. I bought two hoping it was as good as the pictures "says" and I’m more than happy. Will buy more for Christmas presents!The design is really nice, and the razor has got a good weight!I can’t recommend enough!

I bought this because I wanted to cut down on my plastic waste, and it's been a great investment. I bought astra blades which fit in perfectly and come with no plastic packaging either! Recklessly sliced my finger while getting used to the razor, but after a few uses you get used to handling it. As someone with sensitive skin this razor has been amazing, little to no razor burn at all so far, and the same goes for ingrown hairs; overall much better quality than the disposable razors and much better for the environment too.

The only upsides to this are that it looks nice and it is "eco friendly". However, it isn't suited for purpose at all; I really wanted to give it a fair shot so I've waited a few months to review it, thinking maybe I just had to learn how to use it properly. In fairness, I don't know if the issue is the Wilkinson Sword blades that I ordered with it (as recommended by Amazon) but this razor is rubbish. I've tried using it from multiple directions, tilted to different degrees, with and without shave gel...I have to go over and over again, regardless of the length of hair, and STILL end up with stubble/missed hairs. Not only that, but running it over my skin again and again can be very irritating and creates razor burn. Don't waste your money with this product, it's absolutely useless. For context, I'm a woman who has used this for legs, armpits and bikini area and the razor is absolutely rubbish for all of them (yes, even with fresh blades). I'll be going back to plastic after this.

I really like this - decided to cut down on plastic waste and stop buying the expensive cartridges every few months.Just need to find a good blade to go with it - currently using the Wilkinson Sword blades, but they have a plastic dispenser too - so still on the hunt for lower plastic option.I would definitely recommend this handle though - lovely weight and feels more expensive than it was.

This was a gift , However I choose this as I wanted something more environmentally friendly. No more plastic disposable razors . The blades were £4.99 in boots for 10 which seemed very good value. I will definitely be recommending this to others.

Amazing Razor! I can use it every day on delicate areas and it does not leave my skin raw. I’ve always had a problem with multiple blades razors leaving my skin raw. I would have to wait days to shave. Even switching to the single blades disposable razors wasn’t a fix. Plus I don’t like the idea of dozens of plastic razors hanging around and their impact in the environment.I took a chance and bought this old fashioned razor. The weight means it glides with ease and I don’t cut myself. It feels quality, it looks quality and the best part is I don’t have to spend tons of money on blades.
