The Essential Alan Parsons Project Piano, Vocal and Guitar Chords Sheet music – November 1, 2008

Nothing not to like here. Other than this could have been 2 or maybe 300 pages longer. Although I wonder just who in the heck chose the songs for this Essential Sheet Music Collection, because they sure left out a lot of "essential" AP stuff. Nonetheless, it's AP, so it's all good. Since the songs are listed I won't relist them. You can decide if you want it or not. The book is full sized, and easy to read. All chords and notation seem to be correct from the few I've played. I waited along time for this, so I'm pretty happy to finally have at least this. Maybe more will come later if enough buy this. So if you're reading this, buy it..

This collection of APP songs offers a great oportunity to play some of the songs from APP, which we like so much. The arrangements are written by people, who play piano (Parsons and Woolfson), therefore you get a good challenging and fun core that keeps the melodical, harmonic and rhythmic elements from the original thereby making it sound really authentical. A couple of harmonies are screwded, but this a minor detail, which anyone, who plays music and knows the songs, can easily correct in a second.An absolute must for APP fans and friends of experimental rock.

This is a pretty cool book although I wish there was more of their sheet music available they seem to be very guarding of it. I would love to see an entire guitar tab book of “The turn of a friendly card” album. Definitely has some great essential songs in it. I would be very happy as a piano player with this book. This is definitely the best you’re going to get right now as far is professionally transcribed Alan Parsons Project songs.

I was always looking for Alan Parsons Project sheet music, I could not believe it when I came across the essential. I understand other fans when they review the pvg, and express the lack of other favourite songs, but hey! let's take advantage of what we have and enjoy these excellent songs. I was looking forward to the song from I robot Don't let it show, okay it's not there, but I found Old and wise, so folks let's go and crack the scores and confirm through our performances, that APP rules!

I gave this song book as a gift. I wish I could play these songs as they are arranged with such intelligence. I know that the song book doesn't cover all the 'Essential' tracks, but it seems to 'nail' down some of the stronger tracks for a vocal-string-piano intensive playlist. I would recommend 'Day's Are Numbers' for electric piano or synths and 'No Answers, Only Questions' for a straight forward acoustic guitar ditty. And, for vocals, I think 'Old and Wise' or 'Time' are obvious choices.

An excellent purchase!Don't know the album in particular (the Essential AP) as there are so many compilations (I have 3 of them!)A little disappointed that "Siren Song" isnt on this, but as that was from a solo album by Alan Parsons, oh, well..Great stuff - I think if you're a guitarist you'll like bashing away with "Lets talk about me" and "Wouldn't want to be like you"All in all, its hard to fault the song selection - most of these are just great songs. "Old and wise" is a keeper, great song, wonderful vocal by Colin Blunstone, nice to see that hereNice to see all of these songs. Wonderful wonderful purchase. I'm so glad I found this by chance at Colony in NY!

I love alan parsons music one of my favorite bands.The important thing to know is this sheet music not tabs I've seen people who don't look at the product name, I prefer sheet music over tabs myself

Very good and quality music score book

You are wasting time... It sounds better by ear... Not even close to the real thing. Woolfson was able to compose pretty complicated music, with almost always a bass note different to the chord being played which created his signature sound. This is not close to that, at least for me.
