Worked Great!
The product worked great from the first time I used it. I saw some reviews about the tank having flaking or debris in it which needed to be cleaned out before use, but I did not experience that at all. I also saw folks had some float gauge problems, but mine worked good. I did notice that I had to unscrew the float and reset it because it was stuck after I emptied the tank. The flow from the tank was great and the hose held up great as well.I did run into one design issue, so maybe they'll fix it in the future. I have to go down 5 steps to reach my dock. In doing so, I pushed the unit down the steps gently but with 25 gallons of fuel inside, it is heavy and bent the wheel mounts such that the wheels now are pigeon-toed nearly rubbing on the outside of the tank. It would be better to have one solid axle that is sturdy enough to withstand steps. Other than, that, the product was great!

Better than expected.
I read several of the reviews on this and I was expecting to have to make some adjustments to get this to work but I either got lucky or mine was built on a good day. I first checked the pump. I was able to spin it freely with two fingers and it spun smoothly and provided suction. No binding at all. Next I checked the float ball. The ball was welded "okay" and there were no pinholes from the weld. It was stuck at first (powder coat) but popped free and slides well now. The plastic dome is a bit of a downer but I guess it will still work. The plastic float level indicator is lightly etched and hard to read. I put some red permanent marker on it and some white out marker on the tip of the float rod to be able to read it better. I love the solid wheels. That is a great improvement. The handle is a bit flimsy in my opinion and the paint was smeared during curing on it. I plan to weld some U-bolts to the sides before I use it so I can strap lift it into and out of the truck as 30 gallons of fuel is not light. I did buy an electric pump and thread adapter M32 1.5 to NPT for this as I thought it will probably fail within a year given the other reviews but after diving into the pump, it may do fine. This may be an improvement on previous designs or part suppliers as I am feeling really optimistic about this. I bought the one with rubber feet on the front. Not sure if that was the way to go or to get the little front wheels. I can always upgrade that later if I change my mind. I bought this in Jan-Feb 2023. Ask questions if you have any. I'd buy it again at this point if I needed another.

Could be so much better
First off the seller did an awesome job with customer service. They really took good care of us and were on the ball. The product itself could be so much better than it is. The main issue is the hand pump itself. There appears to be some issue in the manufacturing where they are not getting the pumps cleaned out properly after machining the parts. If you take apart a new pump you will find large metal fragments inside. If these fragments are not removed prior to first use they will get between the body of the pump and the rotating assembly causing a binding and damage to the housing. The product would benefit from a pump with a better design. Also the tube the pump mounts to is an odd size with an odd thread pitch. This limits any use of aftermarket pumps that can be used to replace the factory pump, which is nearly impossible to find on it's own. It would be better if the pipe size and threading were in line with other pumps so that the customer can chance the pump out once the unit is out of warranty. If you are getting this fuel caddy, It's not a bad product, but it does suffer from a poorly designed pump with manufacturing issues. I would recommend prior to the first use, open the pump and clean out any metal debris, using a fine emery and go over any sharp edges inside the pump housing. Once that is done whip down the inside surface and lightly oil inside then reassemble. Use caution when reassembling so that you do not damage the o-ring seal. Retorque the housing bolts and as an added precaution use an automotive rtv sealer on the outside of the pump to prevent leaks. Once you've assembled the rest of the unit as per instructions and you've filled it with whatever fluid you chose, turn the handle slow and steadily. If any binding is felt STOP. Slowly turn the handle back a little then try again. DO NOT FORCE it. If it happens again, remove pump and inspect the inside for more debris and repeat. So far our second unit is working fine after doing the above.Everything else on the unit is fine. the wheels move smoothly, the tank itself is solid (being used indoors) and the gauge is working fine.Hope this helps

Good value
After looking at the many reviews, especially those mentioning rust, I still ordered this tank. Arrived in good condition with all the pieces and parts well organized. I inspected the interior with a light found some light surface rust. I washed the interior of the tank with rust treatment (vinegar) and then thoroughly dried out the tank with heat gun. Then added a quart of Por 15 tank sealer. Took two days to work that around the inside of the tank and allowed it to completely dry. All the metal internally is now coated with a very tough coating. When installing the hardware I did note the mechanical float level indicator was stiff. Not sure if I bent it while performing the other work, but it was easy to straighten and it freed up. I was able to fill the tank from jerry cans and the pump and worked great with no leaks. They provided a heavy Teflon tape for the connections. The fitting for the connection from the pump to the hose wanted to start cross threaded. Took a little care to get it correct. I added locktite to the nuts for the wheels. Was able to train my sister on the pump operation in 2 minutes and she doesn't need to try to handle five gallon cans now when she wants to use her lawn mower. Fueling the generator is a breeze. I am very satisfied with purchase. Would suggest they provide a shut off nozzle as an upgrade option.
